2) Pick a Beachbody Fitness Product that is right for your goals and lifestyle (if you're not sure I can help you choose).
3) Focus on your nutrition, eat as clean as possible.
4) Choose the correct supplements to achieve your goals!
5) Work with your coach to help guide you along your fitness journey. I would like nothing better that to become this person for you!

So a little bit about me... I'm a 34 year old mutt (1/2 Japanese, 1/4 Irish & 1/4 Cherokee Indian). I just completed my first round of p90x at the end of July '08 (definitely not my last). Currently, I'm finishing a 2 week 'recovery' period of just light training before my next new 90 day quest as a 150-ish pound, NOT '180-ish', NEW man. It's truly an awesome feeling of accomplishment!! I would love to help guide you to success & a new you, right along with me, as we partake in this fitness journey of a LIFETIME!!

Hello again, let me intro myself: my name is Mike Sowell & I live in Southern California with my lovely wife of 8 years, Nanci. I enjoy eating good food & spending time with my family (no kids yet) & More ...
Hello again, let me intro myself: my name is Mike Sowell & I live in Southern California with my lovely wife of 8 years, Nanci. I enjoy eating good food & spending time with my family (no kids yet) & friends. Currently my passion, other than p90x, is longboarding, which I try to do as often as possible. I also enjoy golf, mountain biking, racquetball & basketball, to name a few.
Basically, I grew up a VERY thin athletic kid & teen. Growing up in SoCal(West LA/Santa Monica) I loved being outside playing basketball, baseball, skateboarding, going to the beach, riding my bike...pretty much anything & everything. Once I hit around 21 yrs. old I guess my age & metabolism caught up with me & my weight has tended to 'YO-YO' depending on my commitment to eating right & exercise. I actually just started longboarding during the summer of '07 & so around March of this year I said to myself, "I've gained weight since last summer (tipping the scales at 180+ lbs!!!), surfing season is coming up, I NEED TO GET MY BUTT IN SHAPE"!! So I headed over to my local gym that I've been an inconsistent member of for several years to get myself a fitness assessment & possibly even some personal training sessions. Well, during the assessment I almost fainted & had to lay down in the middle of the gym with a cold towel on my head - SO EMBARRASSING!! To make a long story short, since the assessment didn't go so well, they of course tried to sell me some expensive training sessions which I refused. So now I was stuck between a rock & hard place & just kept thinking "What in the heck am I going to do? I don't want to pay an arm & a leg for a trainer, but that's the only way I can be pushed (forced) into shaping up & learning how to exercise correctly because "What do I really know??? - I'm overweight, unhealthy & unhappy with my appearance". Well, it popped into my head that my wife's cousin had done that exercise program on the infomercial?!?! So I called her up, she gave me the low-down on Beachbody & the p90x program & I guess the rest is history!
Let me tell you off the bat, it's simple but it's definitely not easy!!! Having Tony(the Beachbody Fitness Guru & instructor) & the kids there to push me was like having my own personal trainer right in my living room.
Finally, I'd just like to give a HUGE thanks to my wife & folks on the message boards that have supported me, given me your time/tips/advice, etc... I couldn't have done it without ya!!
