I had never really been much into fitness. I played field hockey and ran track in high school, but it was more of a social event for me. I was a very chunky kid for most of my life. I love food, would eat all the wrong kinds, and gained weight very easily. My first year of college I took the Freshman 15 to a new level gaining 25 pounds. Although there was no pressure on me, I decided that I wasn’t pleased with how I looked and was going to drop the weight. That summer I started working out on machines, lost 20 pounds, and was very happy. Only when I got back to school machines started getting boring and I lost interest gaining the weight back. I knew I had to do something that would interest me and keep me going. That was when I decided to try Spinning and this time I lost my 20 pounds again and started keeping up with it during the school year to maintain the weight. Well about a year ago, I decided I wanted to tone down and lose a little more weight. I started going to Turbo Kick classes and I was hooked. I have lost 15 pounds so far doing Turbo and have toned up and gained muscle. I loved it so much I wanted to share that with others so I became an instructor. I am so excited to workout everyday now and I can’t wait to add other Beach Body programs and products to my routine.
