Welcome to Team Beach Body, the company that makes getting in shape fun. My name is Corey, and I look forward to helping you in any way I can to make sure you reach your fitness goals. Here is some background information on me. I served in the Army for ten years. While in the Army, I was first exposed to various forms of Martial Arts, and I have been hooked ever since. My name is Corey, and I look forward to helping you in any way I can to make sure you reach your fitness goals. Here is some background information on me. I served in the Army for ten years. While in the Army, I was first exposed to various forms of Martial Arts, and I have been hooked ever since. However, there is a downside to that story. The last two of those ten years were spent as a recruiter. For those of you who do not know being a recruiter means a lot of hours spent away from home. At the end of my recruiting career, I was overweight and stressed out. Due to the hours spent working, there was no time to plan out a meal schedule. That meant that I was eating a lot of fast food. This would take a tremendous toll on my health. On a daily basis, I would have excruciation headaches, and I was always tired. When I visited my local doctor, I was informed that I had a very high blood pressure, and that my cholesterol was through the roof. I then realized that I had to change something. Around my 30th birthday a friend told me about P90X. Needless to say, I was skeptical. I was of the mindset that a person needed to visit a gym to get an adequate workout, and that a DVD would not come close to what I would need. After a month of procrastinating, I decided to purchase P90X. Soon into the program I realized that I WAS WRONG! Once I completed the second work out (day 2 of the program) I was tired. I was sore, but I continued to push through. When I completed the first month, the results were looking back at me in the mirror, and I could not stop. I went from being overweight and unhealthy to being in the best shape of my life. These systems are proven and they work!
Currently, I am a self defense instructor, a Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, and a dad. I have been instructing for the past six years both civilian and military. I truly enjoy what I do. There is something great about giving people the tools that may one day save their lives. I am a very active person, and when not teaching, I am training in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Wrestling/Grappling. In addition, I also do the P90X and Insanity programs.
