I'm a single mother of three (ages 20, 18, & 16) and teach high school English in a small rural school. I enjoy reading, traveling, camping,hiking,and watching basketball. I'm 38 years old and overweight. My best features are my smile and personality. Exercising doesn't bother me, although it's hard to stay committed to a routine when you're alone. Most of my friends and family would say that I'm a people person, but I'm the first to admit that I'm also a homebody who appreciates her alone time as well. Family and God are extremely important to me.

As a beginner, my transformation has just begun. However, I'm hoping to maintain the willpower and commitment to lose 50 pounds. I don't expect or want it to happen overnight, but I am the type of person who needs to see steady progress. No plateaus, thank you very much! I would love to look in the mirror and see someone who is fit and toned, confident and feeling good. I'm willing to exercise and eat healthier, but I am NOT willing to go hungry! Is 6-10 months a reasonable goal? I think so.
