I am an aspiring composer, writer, and interior designer. I've worked with Habitat for Humanity and the Obama campaign as a Colorado delegate. My biggest issues are dealing with homelessness, poverty, mental health, the environment, and autism.
In my "other life", I am the wife of a crazy, yet sexy graphic designer, the mom of an extremely handsome almost 15-year-old young gentleman (my favorite dancing partner), and the daughter/helper of my sweet and brilliant 86-year-old dad. We all live together in a little house overlooking the Colorado Rockies and 52 miles of greenbelt paths, which are definitely underused by us all.
Throughout my life I have fought severe migraines, dyslexia, breast cancer (caught early, thank God), insomnia, and depression ( for the above reasons!) Sometimes my mind says "Yes!" to exercise but my body says "Not today, thanks anyway!". I tell myself that I need to remain healthy for my family, especially my son, who depends so much on my guidance and love. But the truth is, I need to stay healthy for myself first. When I am in a good place physically, mentally, and spiritually, this joy radiates to others, and I have the wisdom and the power to make changes, not just in myself, but even in the world.
That's my ultimate goal, to change the world somehow through my art, be it my music, my writing, or my visual design.
First things first; my body has to cooperate, right? So here I am. This is my official new healthy, balanced beginning. I am getting younger little by little, blossoming into that someone I was meant to be!
