My transformation started a few years ago. We had gone on a vacation to visit my husband’s Dad and when we got our photos back I got a good look at a not so slender me. I realized that before that (I never let anyone take my picture) I was in various stages of denial. First it was oh, size 10 that’s not bad, and then I told my self the same thing when I couldn’t fit into them and had to go to size 12. I even started blaming it on the fact I was getting older and that was why I couldn’t get the weight off. Soon I was hitting the 14/16 size and when I saw that picture, I had to admit I was Fat. I was closer to 200 pounds than I wanted to admit. I was depressed, tired all the time, rarely exercised, and got upset when my wonderful husband tried to encourage me to get off my “duff”. So I ended up trying a well known supplement system where you drink protein shakes and take a bunch off pills. Well, I lost quite a bit doing that, but still made terrible food choices and was not exercising both of which I now realize are vital to health and well being. Well… after spending way too much money on pills and shakes and still not feeling good, not to mention I developed an intolerance to milk so I’d get sick every time I drank a shake. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and started to make better food choices and cut back on portions and ate lots of fruits and veggies. And…… I started walking. More pounds started to fall off, and I even started doing the dreaded crunches because I couldn’t get rid of my “pooch” Then, I know it had to be a GOD thing, my sister introduced us to Beach Body. To make a long story short, both my husband and I got on the bandwagon. Him with P90X, and me with slim in 6 and I am here to tell you: IT WORKS! My husband is down 40 pounds and several inches. And me…..I am down 75 pounds and am now a size 2 or Junior sizes 3 or 5. I Love Slim in 6 and Debbie Siebers. I was even chosen to be on Debbies latest informercial that is or will be airing soon. I love working out and I have more energy than I’ve had in years. I’m not depressed anymore, or tired all the time. I have done 2 rounds of P90x as well. Through Beachbody workouts and supplements, I have stayed fit and healty and kept the weight off! I love being healthy and hearing my boys ask if they can do “their workout”. We bought the Shaun T’s fit kids DVD and they love it. They also are making healthier snack choices as well. Not that they have a lot of junk to choose from, I don’t buy much of that any more. People don’t recognize me anymore and I sometimes don’t recognize myself either. I don’t know if I’ll ever wear a bikini but it’s nice to know that I probably could and look good in it at age 46! Most of all I thank the Lord for this incredible opportunity to help others. My husband and I are walking billboards for Beach Body, and we can’t wait to help others achieve what we have, and become healthier and happier too!
