Born/raised in Ohio; after college I moved to Montana where I met my husband, Jim. Lived there 14 years, & loved it,but you "can't eat the scenery," & employment was poor. We moved back to Michigan so my husband could return to teaching (500 applicants for every teaching job in MT--with bottom 10% of pay in country--go figure) & after 2+ yrs. of subbing, he finally got a permanent position and Born/raised in Ohio; after college I moved to Montana where I met my husband, Jim. We moved back to Michigan so my husband could return to teaching (500 applicants for every teaching job in MT--with bottom 10% of pay in country--go figure) & after 2+ yrs. of subbing, he finally got a permanent position and finished his Administrator's degree, so he's been a principal for about 12 years. I worked for 7 school districts as Director of Career Preparation for 5 yrs; I had a migrainous stroke in Jan. 2003, which slowed me down, and the state grant $ for the Career Prep. program was cut in April. Went back to school and got my Master's degree in advanced shake-making (Humanities)in 2004. I'm teaching college English to HS students. Love the job, but it's temporary (adjunct instructor) so no stability again. I was a skinny kid, but slowly gained with age and babies (2 girls). The stroke put me through menopause and I gained 35 lbs in a few months. I've been trying to lose and get back in shape since then. Turbo Jam has helped me get stronger, but I still have those diet problems leftover from when my parents paid me to gain weight. I have: 2 beautiful daughters, 20 & 24; a husband of 27 years, still my hero; 4 dogs, 4 cats & a guinea pig we are permanently fostering; a mortgage & a frequent appointment card with the veterinarian (jk). I love kayaking, camping, gardening, reading, writing (can you tell?), knitting, & all kinds of creative outlets, & just discovered racquetball--whew!
