Bayonne, NJ I am a 36 year old math teacher with a crazy schedule. In my 20s I worked in gyms as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Like most people my life got busy. The past few years in fact have been ridiculously busy. I love that I have these great workout DVDs that make me sweat in my own living room!
There was a time a few years ago that I had to take time off from working out due to I am a 36 year old math teacher with a crazy schedule. In my 20s I worked in gyms as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Like most people my life got busy. The past few years in fact have been ridiculously busy. I love that I have these great workout DVDs that make me sweat in my own living room!
There was a time a few years ago that I had to take time off from working out due to a knee injury. When I look back at the results of that inactive lifestyle (and poor eating habits at the time) I cringe.
Then I realized that life will always be busy. But I HAVE to make being active a part of my lifestyle. Beachbody makes that possible in my own living room. I rotate the Beachbody programs such as P90X, Turbofire, Chalene Extreme, and INSANITY. Now I'm 36, and feel like I'm in better health than I ever! I have so much energy it's amazing.
In fact, my energy and love of biking is allowing me to do something I've always wanted to. I'm training to participate in a 100 mile bike ride, an endurance event, as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
So, I'm giving back. I recently became a Beachbody coach because I just love Beachbody and I know their programs work. All the money I make from coaching from now through my ride goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I truly appreciate all the support - moral, financial, and physical.

You can see my physical changes in my pictures. That's not the big success story though. I have a couple of other successes that came out of regular exercise.
1) I now commit to regular exercise. It used to be that I'd work out when I wanted to. Then I realized there is no connection between wanting to work out and working out. Just push play. As a responsible adult we pay bills, do laundry, brush our teeth, etc. Those things have nothing to do with wanting to do them. They are just a part of a responsible healthy lifestyle. So is working out.
2) My regular workouts have helped my migraines more than any medication I have tried in the last 25 years. Now I'm off my regular daily, medicine and only have an emergency medication which I hardly have to take now. :) I'm not saying this will happen for anyone else, it is just part of my transformation.
3) Eating clean is not a diet. It is a lifestyle. Moreover, it is an integral part of a healthy body and a fit body.
