Hey, My name is Jon and I am 41 yrs old and work as a full time firefighter with 14 yrs completed. I enjoy racing motocross, cruising on my street bike, camping, working out, music, going on trips and spending time with friends and family. I have always been pretty active through work and play which has helped me to remain somewhat fit. I have worked out in a gym on and off at different points in my life, only to achieve lack luster results. The problem I had with a gym is that I never seemed to have a solid game plan when I entered the gym, so the results I did get were minimal. As the years went by my exercise became less and less. The activities I loved to do were starting to become harder and harder. My favorite pastime is to race motocross which is a physically demanding sport and with the years adding up, I found that I was not able to push hard on every lap like the first. I desperately needed to find a total body conditioning program to up my game. After a vacation we took in Florida I saw a picture of myself and it really brought to light the shape I was in and the road I was on. I did not like what I saw, and even though my wife says I look handsome in that picture, it all gets back to how YOU feel about yourself. So, one night back in January of 2007 I was lying on my bed, just finished a half of box of CheezIts and as I scanned the channels I came across the P90X infomercial. P90X seemed different than other gimmicks because the message seemed simple. work hard, eat right and the results WILL come. The proof is there for all to see case after case. This was the program for me, for the first time in my life I was willing to buy something from an infomercial. I made a promise to myself to work hard and change my eating habits for 90 days. This is no small commitment, that is why you will feel so good about yourself when you do succeed. After completing my 90 days of P90X I was amazed at my results. I lost 14 lbs, 2 ½” off my gut and made gains where I needed them. My chest, back, arms, legs all were bigger with muscle tone and the definition I always wanted. I had flexibility that I never had, and as I said before, along with the physical results came a great feeling of accomplishment. I enjoyed my physical activities more than ever. Whether it was doing work around the house or racing motocross I looked forward to it. When the racing season started I found that I was able to push harder than I ever have. This made such a difference in my results and the fun factor. I went on to win the 30+ championship in the 2008 motocross season, something I would have never been able to do in the body I use to live in.
