I am very energetic and fun and my main goal is to get healthy and stay that way. I would like to lose about 30 lbs and gain some muscle as well.I have a curvy build, with a noticeably smaller waist than the rest of my body.

I have not really had weight problems, as i have always been active. However, after moving to the United States from Europe about 2 years ago i have continued to steadily gain weight.
And, though i have tried several times to get rid of the weight, due to a busy schedule and lifestyle i have not been successful.
Yesterday was a turning point for me though. Because, as i was getting ready for a meeting, i put on some khaki dress pants that have always been double my waist size and a bit loose, so they can be pulled of as slacks. But, lo and behold, they fit me perfectly ...:-(
Hence, i have decided to stick to my INSANITY workout i bought a few months ago, and be dedicated to eating right and living a healthy lifestyle.
I do not want a quick fix; i want to get healthy, lose weight and build muscle, but have fun while doing it.
I am very knowledgeable when it comes to eating well and working out; so that isn't really an issue.
I cook healthy and basically follow a European Mediterranean diet. Which consists of fresh vegetables and fruits, lean meats, olive oil etc. I have minimised/cut down some constituents like the excess salt,breads etc. And have completely eliminated red wine :-( (except on special occasions and such)
I think my main problem however is portion control, and binging which has become more frequent lately.
I would love and appreciate any sort of help, encouragement, advice and feedback from every and nay body!
