Due to the fact that I was unsure of my ability to exercise to exhaustion, I waited and studied the videos. I was still trying to make it to the gym 5 days a week and this was about 10 months after a near fatal motorcycle wreck. The wreck had crushed my spleen, torn my left kidney in halve and destroyed my Left shoulder. I had surgery in September on my Left pinky, which had been mauled in the crash. The end of the finger has been fused and had hurt for quite a long time.

When I started in May, I was surprised by how difficult even the stretching was. What got me hooked was the leg and back exercises. I use to consider 12-14 reps alot, but this was ridiculous! An aerobic weight lifting workout!

This morning I weighed 188! 7/16/2009. A little less tan 1 month to go and I'm 3-4 lbs. away from my goal weight. I recently took up golf and have gotten better every time I've played. I think my left shoulder will always hurt. Even with the humerus in 3 pieces, I can still push and pull.

It's day 90 and I'm weighing in at 185. Lost 17 lbs of fat and my definition is as good as it was in my early 30's! Nutrition is a very important part,but the hardest thing for me was learning how to exercise and not do the same old boring workouts. Believe me, P90X is far from boring. Because my Left shoulder will never be the same (it was crushed at the humeral head), I had to improvise on alot of overhead exercises.

I know I'm still a work in progress, but for 51 years young, I think I look good.
