Hello! I'm Pam and I am a veterinarian in Northern Michigan. I moved up here in 2000 and have been practicing at the same clinic ever since! I love my job and the area. Not everyone gets to drive along Lake Michigan on their way to work!

I have struggled with my weight all of my life. I used all sorts of excuses not to exercise and take care of myself all through high school and college. When I got into veterinary school, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1997 and had to have surgery and thyroid hormone withdrawal. That packed on 30 pounds in about three weeks! Besides that, I was trying to plan a wedding, work full time and get ready for vet clinics in the fall.

Between the stress of school, a bad marriage and not have confidence with myself, my weight went up and my health went down. Everything started to snowball and the worse I felt, the worse I looked and the less I tried.

In 2001 my sister encouraged me to go to Weight Watchers which helped me lose about 40 pounds and dramatically improved my endurance and confidence. I was able to focus on myself, get out of a bad relationship and realize that I was the number one thing standing in my way was ME!

I still didn't have the strength that I wanted and this past year, again from the encouragement of my sister, I started P90X. While I didn't lose weight, I did tone up and feel great! I am now addicted to Insanity and look forward to getting everyone to dig deeper!

My first day of P90X I didn't think I could do it. Then I did Plyo and couldn't walk for a week! But, the more I did it, the more I dug deep, the better I felt.

Here I am now, feeling fitter than I ever have. I'm on my 6th week of Insanity. My clothes fit better, my body is toning up and my running time is improved! Yes, this stuff works! But you only get out what you put in, so dig deep and bring it!
