Everybody wants to be in better shape, right? I did! How about you? Maybe you are like I was? A couple of years ago when I noticed my body shape, ugh! It was not a pretty sight. Was it time for change? Heck yeah! Over 2 years ago, at the subtle urges of my wife, I called to order my 1st Beach Body work out DVD, Turbo Jam. How do I say this, Yeah, Turbo Jam is AWESOME! Day 1267 (Aug 9, 2011) Made it through INSANITY. Killer workout. However, I have not made as good of progress as I would like. So I have "Commited To Be Fit" See the FAT boy in the Before photo? He will be a faint memory of my past. Good News is that while I weight much less than I did when I started Beachbody over 3 yrs ago, I sort of plateaued. Not happy with the current body situation and going to do something about it! Join Me...

Day 1047 (Jan 2, 2011) I began my INSANITY 60 day journey. Can't wait for the new me. My wife is looking forward to that as well.

Day 951 (Sept 27th, 2010) Yesterday rode my bike 20 miles, avg speed about 20 mph. On 1 2 mile stretch, I push my speed at 30 mph! WOW. Thanks Beach Body!!

Day 891 (July 29th) Last weekend I rode in the American Diabetes Tour de Cure, 65 Miles. For me, pretty good avg speed 17 mpg. Thanks Beach Body!!

Day 817 (May 30th) I particatped it my Daughter's dance recital in the Dad's Dance. My Wife said, that I looked hot on stage! Wow can't get a better compliment than that!!

Day 717 (Feb 5, 2010) Wow it is hard to do this with sick kids in the house. 11 yr old ran high temps and ended up with Pneumonia out of school for 9 days, geez. Back on schedule now,YES!

Day 709 (Jan 28, 2010) Getting close to my anniversary date with WOWY!! This thing really works. I have been able to keep unwanted pounds off by only be accountable to the WOWY Buddy system and at least walking each day. Gotta love that!

Day 551 (Aug 23, 2009) Great Day today as I reached my goal to weight 183. I very excited that this day is here. I will continue to focus on the weight, but now I have to reduce my waistline. I headed for 34 inches.

Day 544 (Aug 16,2009) Breaking through the 185 barrier moving into 184. Starter using Slimming Formula last week. Seems like it is working. Adding the 10 minute trainer to my walking/Swimming/biking was a great idea! Body shape is on the way!

Day 535 (Aug 7, 2009) Breaking the 186 lbs barrier and into 185. Doesn't seem like much, but it's moving in the right direction. I like the 10 Minute Trainer. Goes well with my Walking/Biking/Swimming. Yes!!
Day 520 (July 23, 2009) Ugh, still weigh 186. Starting working out with 10 minute trainer, Awesome!! Still looking for the elusive 183 lbs....
Day 501 (July 4, 2009) Things are going well. I am watching my diet, getting lots of veggies, not eating in the evening, things of that sort. My goal to weigh 183 is very much in sight now. I am at 186 with 3 more pounds to go. I look forward to the 10 minute trainer to go with my walking, biking and swimming workouts. My body will be a lean machine.

On Day 214 (Aug 2008), I finally reached my goal of 190 lbs (Lost 17 total pounds). It took a lot longer than I expected. I think this happened because I had hard time keeping up with my workouts (life changes things you know) which I always schedule at 5 AM due to family obligations and work schedule. However, with the help of my Awesome Buddies (accountability is huge and the most important aspect), I made my goal!!
Between day 214 and today, day 493. I have not changed my diet (I hate anything fish) or added any Beachbody programs. I have not really used BeachBody supplements over this time. But because I have been consistent with my 5 am work outs, walking/running, bicycling, swimming and my favorite Turbo Jam – Punch, Kick and Jam, I have maintained an average weight of 189 lbs. I love it that the weight has not return, Yes!!
But you know what, I am not happy with my body shape. I have BMI that is just over 25 and I still have the belly fat (37 inch waistline). I saw the 10 minute trainer infomercial on the TV and I think that it is a great tool for me to add in with my regular workouts helping me reduce the body fat, tone up my muscles and to get in the best shape that I can based on my situation. I would love to do the P90X workouts, but because of my limited schedule, this seems like a better direction. Probably start the 10 minute trainer in Mid July, but a renewed enthusiasm for workouts and a craving for a better body has me on that path already! I will update my goals in the near future!
