AWESOME NEWS! I JUST HAD A BABY BOY IN JULY 2011! I just started TurboFire two weeks after delivering...and I'm ready to drop the baby weight! If you're pregnant or a new mom - feel free to ask me your questions! Below is more about me :)
The phrase "working out" had never been in my vocabulary. I am 5'9" and for most of my life, I have been slender in the eyes of most. Everyone always use to tell me, "you're so lucky you're skinny, you can eat anything you want". That was true, I could, but after being married for 8 years, working full time and having a five-year-old daughter the "you're so skinny" comments started to dwindle.
At 31, I was still eating whatever I wanted: fast food at lunch, drinking pop everyday, not working out and coming home feeling exhausted from my work - many times, just falling asleep on the couch! Over time, I had noticed the weight gain in my stomach, lots of cellulite behind my legs - to the point where I no longer wanted to wear shorts. I was the overweight skinny girl!
Then....I saw a past co-worker on Facebook (fitmommyof1) sharing her amazing results through the use of Beachbody products. I was absolutely amazed at her transformation and that's when I made the decision to start P90X. (I thought, if she can do that, so can I!)
It took me several months to get my head around what I had gotten myself into after the 1st Beachbody box arrived in January 2010. I spent lots of time reading and re-reading the guides to finally gain the courage to do the fit test and take my before pictures. I was scared!
BUT, I got started in Aprll 2010. I started working with an independent beachbody coach (that's what I am) who provided motivation and answered my many questions, and I found support on the beachbody message boards. My P90X ride (nutrition and exercise together) has resulted in me losing 15lbs and 4.5 inches off of my waist. I completed my first round of P90X in July and just completed ChaLEAN Extreme! Love both trainers - their styles, personalities, their drive to push me harder, further!
I also drink Shakeology. LOVE IT! I have more energy and feel better overall from drinking it. I cannot remember ever feeling this good in my whole life. I have no issues with waking up early and staying up late some nights - I just have more energy!
The positive experience of doing P90X had me asking questions about being a beachbody coach. I wanted more of a motivation to stick to my goals, plus, I wanted to save money on Shakeology.
It wasn't until I attended a Game Plan event in July 2010 did I really understand the true potential of what Beachbody could offer me (fitness wise and from a financial standpoint)! I got fired up after that event!
People always say I'm a "helpful, encouraging person". This newfound passion has lit something inside me.
