Stress, poor eating and lack of exercise are a great way to gain weight quickly. After the collapse of my wife's business, a radical turn in the real estate market and news of becoming a future dad I did exactly those things. During the pregnancy I gained as much weight as my wife and that was right before tax season. By the end of tax season I was up to 235lbs and my body fat was 25.5%; this was almost 50lbs heavier than I weighed 3 years earlier.

I started doing some of the old activities to "try" to lose weight and wasn't having any success. I started looking into the gimmicks to help drop weight fast. I just wasn't finding something that felt like a permanent solution. Then I saw a quick video about P90X. I was amazed at the results. I didn't believe a video program could deliver those results.

By the end of the first month the scale hadn't moved much for me, but I noticed that my body was reshaping itself. If I wasn't tracking my measurements I would have probably quit the second month, because the scale wasn't moving much, I felt great, but I was making progress in the shape of my body. At the end of the first round I was psyched I'd stuck with it. I believe my results were not as good as other people's stories, but I was not tracking my diet and when I did, it kept saying I wasn't eating enough!

My wife and I made a few simple changes to our diet and the results improved. I love the company slogan "just push play", that was usually the most difficult part of any workout. I did them in the morning so before my brain could say "NO!" I had already pushed play and was committed!
