I've been blessed with a super high metabolism and what seems like endless energy. I've been lifting weights since I was 12 years old, however it was sporadic and not very structured. I always thought the best way to put on muscle mass was to workout as much as possible. I would often work the same muscle groups back-to-back, not realizing my muscles needed rest in between to achieve the maximum benefit.

My wife and I started P90X at the end of January. I must say I was skeptical since I already knew a lot about bodybuilding and wondered what this program could offer me. After the first workout, I was a believer. The chest and back workout was so intense I could barely complete all the sets of push-ups, and the Ab Ripper DVD would leave me feeling like I'd been punched in the stomach! Those Fifer Scissors are brutal!

I have always liked old fashioned pull-ups to hit the arms, and this workout delivered! I even installed a pull-up bar in the basement and saw results almost immediately. The leg workouts were a perfect compliment to our marathon training, my legs and core are stronger than they've ever been.

By following the P90X program, I was able to work different muscle groups properly and did waste time overworking body parts. The muscle confusion concept really worked, and kept my body guessing through the whole 90 days.

Although I've been in pretty decent shape all my life, P90X took me to a level of fitness I'd only dreamed of achieving. I am in the best shape of my life, thanks to this tremendous program!
