I've been working out for about 6 years and considered myself fit, but I still longed for more definition in my arms, slimmer legs and tighter abs! I wanted to be stronger and healthier, I wanted to look HOT! Just so you know, when I took my before picture I was working out 4-6 days a week (took Zumba, sculpting classes, went hiking, mountain biking, etc). My diet was good, but not perfect.

My love of working out started after my car was stolen and I wanted to learn self defense. I started taking Krav Maga and LOVED it. After I plateaued out on that I joined a gym and started taking classes (sculpting, step, boxing, Zumba, etc.) and loved all the different types there were.
Group fitness classes was the only way I was comfortable working out at the gym. I felt intimidated using the machines or heading into the weight room with all the big buff guys around. I was bored silly running on a treadmill or using the cardio machines. If I went to the gym on my own I would cheat myself out of a workout, I wouldn't push as hard, I would only do 30 minutes instead of an hour, etc.

When I heard about P90X and watched the infomercial I knew I had to have it. I am planning on traveling in the future and will miss the group fitness classes so much that I needed something to replace them that was portable. I am also intense, so I needed a workout that would challenge me. I wanted something that I wouldn't get bored doing, something that had variety. I couldn't wait to get started!

As I write this I am a little over 1/2 way through my 90 days and am blown away by my results. I get so many compliments on my improved figure and am constantly amazed at what my body can do NOW that it wasn't able to do 50 days ago: wide front and close grip pull ups, one handed push ups on knees, using heavier weights for all my exercises, and increased flexibility are just some of the changes I have seen.

One of my favorite things about taking classes at the gym was finding instructors that I really liked. One of my favorite things about P90X is Tony Horton. He is funny, charming, a great motivator and he has the best one liners.

I didn't think I would like working out at home when I was contemplating getting P90X. I thought I would have a hard time actually pressing play and have missed workouts, or that I would get lonely or bored working out by myself. That hasn't happened at all, in fact, I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy working out at home. I know I am dedicated enough and I WANT to do it so I schedule my workouts just like there was a class at the gym. When life gets busy I don't miss a workout because the gym schedule doesn't match with my schedule, now I can just wake up earlier do my workout and be set for the rest of the day. I save at least 20-30 min a day just getting too and from the gym!

I can't stress this next part enough: DIET IS KEY!!! P90X has changed my diet. I have added fish to my diet, haven't had a soda since I started, I have cut out alcohol (at least for the rest of P90X, maybe a glass of wine when I finish), and have changed from ground beef to ground turkey. If I didn't follow the diet plan my results would still show, but not nearly as fast and not nearly as well.

I'm not going to lie to you, this is not easy. For many this will be changing your lifestyle. I will be here for you the whole way, cheering you on, answering questions or giving tips, but you have to do your part too, decide, commit and BRING IT!!! If this sounds too extreme for you to get started ask me about the other AMAZING Beachbody products. I own a lot of the other programs and can help you pick the BEST program for YOU!
