I had been looking into starting a beachbody workout for a few years and decided to start with turbofire. I am ohio born and raised. I work retail and I don't have a regular schedule to be able to do things in a routine. So hopefully i can change that. I am looking forward to having the body I've always wanted, to go along with the confidence I have always had. I am of mixed race, Native American (unknown nations/tribes) and Caucasian as far as I know. I like to dance and vend at powwows. I like to be involved in activism. Including human rights, environmental and some animal rights. In 2008 I participated in the Longest Walk 2, a peace walk that was also an activism walk. I joined in at the Knoxville, TN camp and walked the rest of the way to Washington DC. I went from a size 12 to a size 8 in a month. So I had no doubt in my mind that i could do this.
I finnished the turbofire prep program back in april 2011, and moved to new mexico in may 2011. Getting ready to start the regular turbofire program, cannnot wait. Prep alone almost got me the results I wanted. We will see just how i can handle turbofire at nearly 6000ft higher than what i did prep in.

I have struggled with excess weight on and off through my life. The heaviest i ever was was when i was a teenager. The weight gain was due to prescribed medication and misdiagnoses from doctors. I dieted for what seemed like forever with some exercise with little to no results. After many tests and test results, my family decided to take me off all the medication but one, which helped with my migranes. I had my true diagnoses, P.C.O.S. and found out that is why i couldnt lose my weight. I will never know how heavy I was, due to wearing sweat pants and my mom hiding the scale. The doctors only measured me once ever 6 months. I know I started dieting 3 months in that 6 months. I remember the heaviest weigh in was 210. After I started on hormone therapy and seen a dietitian/nutritionist to get some advice, I started walking 30 minutes a day 4 times a week. I started watching what I ate and ate what i craved, within certain boundaries. She said it would be awhile before I lost weight and that I would gain weight before losing due to muscle gain. Which did happen. At the end of a 8 month period I dropped down to 147. Then my work schedule changed and disrupted my routine. I had an excess of loose skin, which has decreased some. That was when I was 17.
My weight has fluctuated up and down from 150-175 through the years. In 2008 I decided to go on a cross country walk. I joined in on June 13th in knoxville TN and walked to washington DC arriving on July 11th. During that time while walking on the winding roads between knoxville camp and asheville North Carolina I injured my ankle from uneven ground. That put me out about a good 3 days until i recovered. We walked an average of 20 miles a day, sometimes less or more. There was also the sacred runners with us, they ran an average of 50mi a day, some times less or more. I left at 158, a size 12. I came home 146, a size 8. Shortly after arriving back home I attended a store remodel on the other side of the state for work, and started bad eating habits again. I did however build a good deal of muscle with the type of work i was doing. I gained 10lb back and put me in a size 10 again. In Dec of 2010 i had reached a tight size 12 again, at 184lb. I did not want to go back to my teenage weight again.
I have noticed a difference in my knees and ankles every time i loose, and gain weight. An I have had episodes with my heart when i was heavier. Diabetes runs in my family, along with heart disease. I know being overweight can increase chances of these diseases. So I needed to get down to a healthy weight and an admirable size, so to decrease my chances of getting these diseases. What better time to start than now I was thinking to myself.
My goal is to fit in a size 5 or size 7 by the end of this year. Since I build muscle quick, and muscle weighs more than fat, my weight is not as much as an issue as much as the inches are. So I see the tape measure as my friend rather than a scale.
I also want to give that advice to you. Your weight will flux due to hydration, fuel intake, and muscle gain/loss. Often you will retain water after a good and hard workout session to heal and build new muscle.
If you want to hear more or have any questions feel free to contact me. I am usually on once a day and respond to messages.
