Castle Rock, CO I'm a first time mom who intends to regain her pre-baby body, and I need some encouragement to do it.
I am small to begin with, but had to gain a lot of weight to sustain the baby. After her birth, the weight disappeared mostly on its own, but slower than I'd hoped. My pregnancy was very uneventful, as was I during it, I mostly slept... Not such a great idea to just sleep and eat for 10 months. I'm a first time mom who intends to regain her pre-baby body, and I need some encouragement to do it.
I am small to begin with, but had to gain a lot of weight to sustain the baby. After her birth, the weight disappeared mostly on its own, but slower than I'd hoped. My pregnancy was very uneventful, as was I during it, I mostly slept... Not such a great idea to just sleep and eat for 10 months.
She is a very healthy baby and for that I am grateful my body did what it needed to, but now I want my pre-preggo body back, and then some. I was healthy and thin before I got pregnant, but not as toned as I could have been.
I am still breastfeeding, so I know not all the extra fat will disappear until she stops nursing, but I should be able to remove the extra around my tummy.
Additionally, I build muscle very quickly and tend to just bulk instead of shape, so I am using the P90X program but with some modifications in order to shape my body as I know it is happiest.
By Christmas, I will wear all my pre-preg clothes, will not feel any fatigue in my knees going up the stairs, and will remember what it feels like to have a core strong enough that your body floats instead of dragging itself around.
Hopefully, if we get pregnant again, my body will be in better shape than it's ever been. And the next time around, I won't gain so much (I'm eating better now) in the first place, therefore it won't take as much to loose it after baby.
I am - 5'2", 135 lbs, size 6/7, and have about 80% of the strength I had before the pregnancy Pre-preg: 115 lbs, size 4 Build: Very strong Played competitive soccer most of my teen years; coached soccer later on Love to bike, hike, push myself to the limits (which is one thing my pregnancy caused me to really struggled with, because I just couldn't push - I'd faint)

03/30/10 I just finished a 30 minute Namaste Yoga routine. Yes, it's 12:30am.
I feel so much better than I did 30 minutes ago, not only physically, but emotionally. I am now at peace, at More ... 03/30/10 I didn't workout today. I will know it tomorrow.
I have gained a lot over the holiday period, but mostly I attribute that to the emotional stress and resulting continual illness I dealt with More ... View Blog
