South Bend, IN After years of terrible eating habits(sometimes eating fast food twice a day), a sedentary lifestyle and finally being put on blood pressure medication at the age of 27, I knew I needed a change. I always dabbled in exercise but it wouldn't last more than a few months and I only did it a few times a week. I thought I knew how to exercise and would only do the same things at the gym, never After years of terrible eating habits(sometimes eating fast food twice a day), a sedentary lifestyle and finally being put on blood pressure medication at the age of 27, I knew I needed a change. I always dabbled in exercise but it wouldn't last more than a few months and I only did it a few times a week. I thought I knew how to exercise and would only do the same things at the gym, never watched my diet, and I would jog or hit the treadmill occasionally. My weight ballooned to around 265 and still I did nothing about it. I would say (I'll get around to it one day), but day after day passed until I went with my family to a picnic. Someone took a picture and when I looked at it I couldn't believe how bad I looked. Pictures don't lie, and then I KNEW that I HAD to do something....now!
A few days after that I came across a commercial for P90X, a paid a little attention to it but soon forgot about it, and then I kept seeing it and it grabbed my interest more and more. Finally I decided to give it a shot and I ended up falling in love with it. It was hard at first and I wondered what in the hell I got myself into! As I got use to it though and started seeing the results I knew that this was the best investment I ever made in my life. I continue to do it and now am able to blend some Insanity into it and it gives me the perfect compliment of resistance and cardio exercises. I'm getting more attention from the ladies, something that rarely happened to me when I was overweight, but more importantly my health and energy are better, my confidence is up, and my goal is to eventually be totally off blood pressure meds in the next year or so.

About eight months ago I completed a round of P90X, but admittedly I didn't follow the meal plan and so I didn't get the results that I should have. After that I just went back to my same old ways of unhealthy eating and inactivity and I ended up back in the same spot that I was before, overweight with low energy. I made excuses that because I have two jobs that I didn't have enough time and blah, blah, blah, but once my weight continued to balloon I felt ashamed of myself and decided that I had to do something about it. I MADE time in my schedule for P90X and now am doing a hybrid of that with Insanity. It's giving me great results and I started 2/12/2011. I'm in much better shape than I was when I started and look forward to continuing the journey!
