I have participated in sports all my life. I begin playing basketball in grade school and then after graduating high school was lucky enough to go on to play for SBU in college. I also played volleyball and ran track through my high school years. After graduating from college with a degree in Sports Management and Recreation, I continue play basketball and volleyball recreationally and enjoy living an active lifestyle. Beginning in August of 2010 I begin a Fit Club at my church and it is growing each week.
You would think that it is nothing for me to keep a daily workout schedule and nutritious diet, but the fact remains that grandpa time, uncle gravity, sister dessert, third cousin tired and father busy have a way of putting the full court press on your life. And let me tell you, they are relentless.
What I have found to be of utmost importance is maintaining what I had in my more active and youthful days. The only solution I have come up with is finding and maintaining an exercise program. An exercise program that fits in with the demands of a busy mom and wife, an exercise program that fits in with MY schedule and the schedule of my active children. I needed to find a program that gets my heart going, stretches my joints and muscles, tones my body, and maintains my health. A program that will keep me honest and offer me a challenge to get better.
My brother, who is my coach, introduced me to the 10-minute trainer and my life has changed. Not only have I been able to be faithful to a daily workout, but I am also enjoying the results from sticking with it. The aches and pains from a life full of sports have been kept in check with the stretching exercises. The cardio workout gets my heart pumping and the total body workout gives me the strength conditioning I need. The ab workout is just what I need to strengthen my core. And when I’m looking for a challenge, I like to push myself by stacking several of the workouts together. It’s nice just to push play and begin my workout in the comfort of my own home when I find 10 minutes or so between shuttles to another activity that one of my children participate in.
Finally, I have found a one-stop shop for all my nutritional needs right here with Beachbody. Look over the items and check out the ingredients, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that they are top notch and reasonably priced.
I encourage you to consider doing something to keep you sharp and in shape as you get further away from your youth. Just because I'm not playing ball any longer doesn't mean I want to stop being healthy, limber, and strong. Do something today, and if you think I can help you, just write me a note. Wow, I have been doing beachbody workouts since July 2008 and I have never been happier with my exercise programs. I started off with the Ten Minute Trainer and really loved it and then Chalean Extreme came out I started on it. This is a great workout plan and I have been doing this workout for 2 years now. I have seen wonderful improvements. I feel stronger and more lean than ever before. It definitely revs up my metabolism and keeps me feeling invigorated and energetic. I love the weight lifting exercises as well as the cardio workouts. This program is definitely worth the investment!!
