put on pounds and inches. Both my boys have been athletes and so I've

My name is Hermina and as I've raised my family, over the past 20 years, I've
put on pounds and inches. Both my boys have been athletes and so I've
spent a lot of time driving to practice and cheering at games. I just haven't
had the time to work out regularly. A couple of years ago, my doctor wanted
to put me on medication to lower my cholesterol and triglycerides. The
medication gave me terrible headaches. I asked the doctor to let me try
getting my blood levels in line and lose a little weight. If I couldn't do it
myself in 6 months then I would try the meds again. Now that both my boys
are in college I've got a little more time to dedicate to me so I've made it a
personal goal to exercise regularly and eat healthier. I haven't lost much
weight, maybe 10 lbs, but I have gained strength, balance and energy. I sleep
better and my husband tells me I'm easier to live with. And best of all, I've
brought my cholesterol and triglyercides down to normal levels so that I'm not
on medications. I still have pounds and inches to lose but as long as I feel
good and my blood levels are good, I'm going to keep working out.
