Hello! My name is Rob and I have been with Team Beachbody going on two years now. I have never really had a problem with being over weight but I didn't like the way I looked or felt. My problem was that I couldn't find an exercise program that interested me or that would keep me motivated. Then I came across the infomercial of the P90X program on television and that's when things

I have always been fairly active in my life but the last few years have finally caught up to me. I found out that high blood pressure runs in my family. I had my blood pressure checked and was suprised to find out it was border line high. Somewhere around 150/97. I was told to exercise and watch my diet, especially salt intake. I have always been able to eat anything I wanted without thinking twice about it. I knew that needed to change. I've always had a bad lower back. I had to be careful at work with what I did and how I moved. I also remembered that the only time my back really felt good was when I used to stretch and exercise. I happened across P90X like many of you, on television. It really interested me so I bought it last fall, October, '08. When the discs arrived I couldn't wait to start so I started the program the following Monday. I made it a week and then fell off the wagon for about 5 days. I tried it again the next Monday with the same results. I used the Holidays as an excuse not to start again and gave it up until the end of January, '09. I decide enough was enough. With the 1st of February coming up I was determined to make it through the program.
Well, I'm happy to report that I'm still going strong with P90X. It is a lot of hard work but the result are well worth it. I'm not as ripped as I would like to be but perhaps that is coming. Besides, I'm trying to keep in mind what Tony Horton explains. That people shouldn't get caught up on results and looking a certain way. It's the quality of life that is the most important. With that being said, I had my blood pressure checked just recently and it was 117/78. Just what the doctor ordered. I also have not had any back pain lately which lets me do a lot more especially with my kids. On the 23rd of March I will be on my third week of phase 2. I can't wait to take a picture on day 60 to compare it with that of my first day. Some of the exercises are still hard but the pull ups and push ups are getting easier and I'm able to make it through the discs without pushing pause. Some days I feel like stopping half way through the work outs, but I stick to it and push my way through. I'm planning to restart the program and do doubles when I finish this first 90 days. Stay tuned for updates.
