How's everybody? My name is Lance, a 50 year old husband and grandfather. In my youth I was an accomplished athlete into and through my college years. I am a Steelworker (Crane Operator) and I do Web and Graphic Design and Air Brushing on the side. Around 18 years ago when I started working in a Steel mill environment operating Cranes, I reached my all-time highest weight at 230 lbs. and I didn't like it. That's when I begin exercising regularly. I stayed at around 200-205 lbs for a lot of years until I crossed the river 40 and was approaching the shores of 50. At that point my body made a change and the workouts that previously worked well no longer gave me the same results. I needed new, fresh, fitness goals and of course a greater challenge because the challenge is what drives me. P90x was the challenge I was looking for.
I have completed the 90 days of p9ox classic and boy was it challenging. As a result I'm weighing in at around 208lbs, I'm more flexible than before,I've Increased in strength and am more toned. It is very difficult dilligently sticking with the program while working 12 hour shifts 5 days per week and only getting 4 hours sleep per night. I believe I didn't get maximum results because of my schedules and dietary issues but I stuck with it consistently everyday, pushed through the tiredness and brought it to the best of my ability.
I'm currently in the gym testing my progress and am finding that I'm much better than I was in the area of fitness, I look and feel better and am looking forward to doing the p90x lean program to drop some additional body fat and correct some of the problem areas on my body.
