My weight loss journey has been slow but sure. I have never been really heavy but I have always had to watch it. I have always felt I needed to "lose 10 pounds". I began to really love exercise More ...
My weight loss journey has been slow but sure. I have never been really heavy but I have always had to watch it. I have always felt I needed to "lose 10 pounds". I began to really love exercise after my second son was born and I really never thought that would happen because growing up I was not very active nor would I have considered myself athletic. It's not always easy and there are plenty of days when I want to be lazy but I feel soooo much better when I make myself get up and do it! I feel the fittest I have ever been and it's not about a number on the scale (we all hate that part don't we?) or a size of clothing but it's about feeling good and being our best. When we take time for ourselves than we have more of ourselves to give. I know it's hard work and I have not yet reached my "goal", but I enjoy the journey and will continue to push play. Quick update: I am now doing the Chalean Extreme program and it is so much fun. Chalene is kicking my butt and I love it!!! I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to each workout. I am starting to see my body change and I am so excited to see what is to come.

I finished Chalean Extreme (Loved it!) at the end of March and thought I'd just keep going until school got out and then I thought I'd start a round of P90X--for real this time! Then I thought, "Why wait for summer? Why not start now so I'm in better shape for summer!" I started in April and today is June 11 and day 53 of my 90 day journey. I have to say, I have done this program off and on for 3 years now but when you follow the schedule laid out in the guidebook-it's amazing! It works and it works great! I love the way it makes me feel! I am seeing muscles I have never seen before and it's great! I love the fact that I am getting stronger and everyday I actually look forward to what I am going to do. I love the Yoga X--I never ever thought I'd say that! I am more flexible than I've ever been and overall, in better shape than ever before. P90X is an awesome program and I'm so happy I decided to jump on the X train! I will finish on July 18 and that will be just in time to start the newest Beachbody program called "Insanity" with Shaun T. I look forward to the challenge!

July 20, 2009 Day one of "Insanity"--I'll keep you posted but so far after 5 days I'm feeling it (so sore!) and loving it! It's the hardest workout I've ever done in my life but MAN WHAT A CHALLENGE! I love the challenge and seeing just what I am capable of, I'm stronger than I ever knew! Here's my advice when doing something that challenges you beyond what you thought you could do: don't stop because it's hard, push through and tell yourself YOU CAN DO IT! You are stronger than you think and if you believe it--you can achieve it!

Ok I finished "Insanity" at the end of September, 2009. What an amazing program! It challenged me to my absolute limits and I LOVED it! There were times when I thought "Are you kidding me? You want me to do what!!?" The best part is by the end of 60 days I could do things I never thought I could do! It was challenging both mentally and physically. I cannot wait to do another 60 days. For the time being I am doing a mixture of Rev Abs and Insanity with a little dash of P90X. It makes for a great workout! Never a dull moment!
