Clarks Hill, IN Former college athlete, got married, got fat, let about 15 years pass that way... In 2005 I started losing weight by watching calories and walking. I then started running. I lost about 70 pounds. Since then, over the years, I have run 8 full marathons and too many half-marathons and other events to keep track of. I also dabble in triathlons. I then started running. I lost about 70 pounds. Since then, over the years, I have run 8 full marathons and too many half-marathons and other events to keep track of. I also dabble in triathlons. After all that, I still didn't really feel fit. I am too heavy. I am a terrible runner, and I really never liked to run (I just enjoy the big events). I started lifting weights and over time have found a plan that works well for me. April 11, 2011 I started P90x with the goal to lose bodyfat. I am starting at about 18% (5'9", 210, 37" waist). My goal is to get under 12% bodyfat while maintaining strength. I do cardio in the morning, and I lift weights, 3 times a week, in the evening. I have always struggled to be consistent with my diet. I am hoping the beachbody workout format can help.

Update July 2011: Completed P90x, but didn't stick to the diet :(. I am moving on to insanity now. I am still lifting weights (Wendler 5/3/1 plan) through this, and that has been going really well. More ...
