Lacey, WA Hi, my name is Ryan and I am an independant coach with Team Beachbody. Fitness is something that I always thought was natural and that you didn't really have to work for it. Well, I was wrong and found that if you don't work out on a regular basis, the pounds will add up. They will accumulate kind of slowly and you don't notice it at first, but one day you will wake up like I did Hi, my name is Ryan and I am an independant coach with Team Beachbody. Fitness is something that I always thought was natural and that you didn't really have to work for it. Well, I was wrong and found that if you don't work out on a regular basis, the pounds will add up. They will accumulate kind of slowly and you don't notice it at first, but one day you will wake up like I did and find that your clothes are tighter than they should be, you have a lack of energy yet not be able to sleep soundly, and find that the simplest of activities will leave you breathless.
What makes all of this worse is that I am in the Air Force, so fitness is part of the job. You have to be fit to fight and be able to pass the Air Force PT test which is only a waist measurement, 1-minute push-ups, 1-minute sit-ups, and a timed 1.5 mile run. The test is a very easy one to pass, but I've managed to fail it twice--bad news! After having to visit the Commander in my service dress and explain why I was not meeting the requirements of the Air Force I decided to make it my mission to not only improve my fitness, but to bring it to an all new level.
Although I will never weigh what I did in high school (a mere 145 lbs) my goal is to be more in shape than I ever was! I was on the high school track team as a sprinter and ran the 100m, 200m, 400m and the 4x400m relay races with PRs of 13.8 sec for the 100, 29.1 sec for the 200, 56.4 sec for the 400, and 59.4 sec for 4x400. My new goals are to slim down to a 32 inch waist, 180 lbs, and compete in the Lake Stevens Ironman 70.3 in 2012.
The Lake Stevens Ironman 70.3 consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile run with an overall time limit of 8 hours. That being said, I plan on using P90X and a vigorous running schedule to reach this goal. Let's see if Tony Horton can get me to finish the Ironman 70.3!!
I will be keeping you all updated on my transformation tracker on a weekly base and daily on my blog, facebook, and twitter. So, keep me in your prayers and wishes that I meet this goal and will be looking forward to a fit and competitive future.

10/22/10 So, it's been awhile since my last blog entry here on WOWY, but I asure you that I have been doing my workouts! I have been doing doubles with P90X as well as Insanity and today, I figured the More ... 06/01/10 This mornings workout was a very fine Back and Biceps with some Ab Ripper X.
