My name is Tom Miller. I am 46 years old and live in Toledo, Ohio. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have been married for 27 years. We have two grown children, a 25 year old son who is in the U.S. Army and a 20 year old daughter who is a shift manager at McDonald's. We have one grandson who lives in Kansas with his mom and dad.

I am a contract Human Resource Manager at an automotive parts packaging company in Toledo and have been in this job for the last seven years. I have been a business owner in the past having been a one-third owner of a company that provided supported living services for individuals with mental retardation/developmental disabilities. I sold my share of the business to my two partners in 2005. I also currently work part-time as a sales associate at Sears selling fitness and lawn and garden equipment.

I have a BA in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. I have also completed 33 semester hours toward an MA in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan.

I was a three-sport athlete in high school and stayed in pretty decent shape. I spent 11 years active duty in the United States Air Force and was able to keep my weight pretty well in check during that time. But, after I separated from the Air Force the pounds started to add up eventually topping out at 250 pounds at the end of 1999. I was able to take a lot of that off on my own getting down to 200 in May, 2000. I really didn't make any changes other than adding in exercise and the pounds starting coming back but only up to 220. I stayed right around that weight until February, 2004 when I found Power 90 from an infomercial. I started February 16, 2004 and faithfully did every workout during the 90 days and watching my diet. I ended up losing 24 pounds and a number of inches and toned up everywhere. After completing the initial 90 days I kept doing P90 workouts along with Power Half Hour and started running to add some variety to my workouts.

I found that I enjoyed running and just kept adding miles to my long runs. I also started participating in races of various distances but prefer the half marathon to any other distance. I have now completed four full marathons and eight half marathons and shortly after posting this, I will participate in my second Walt Disney World Marathon on January 7, 2007.
