Hello! I am an Independent Team Beachbody Star Diamond Coach. When I joined teambeachbody.com in the fall of 2009, it was only to track my Insanity workouts in WOWY. As my body started transforming, a lot of my friends started joining Beachbody. I decided to become a coach so I can get fit, support my friends and colleagues, and get paid for doing it! Being accountable to each other keeps me motivated and helps me overcome the urge to blow off a workout and make poor eating choices.
Everyone is asking me what I'm doing, so here it is: I completed the 60 day Insanity program in October of 2009, during which I lost 20 lbs and gained a lot of strength and cardio-conditioning. My blood pressure (once 156/117 on meds) is now in the normal range with no medication! I took a one week recovery (during which I lost another 8 lbs due to the rockin' metabolism), then started P90X Lean version. I lost another 6 lbs in round 1 of P90X, but wow did I shrink in size! Since muscle weighs more than fat, I was still surprised to see the weight loss. I've gone from a size 14 to a size 4!
Since that time, I've done all of the Beachbody workout programs. I am currently doing Asylum along with a mixture of all the other Beachbody workouts (a lot of One on Ones) as I try out different options for my fit club.
Now for my background. I'm a mother of two and an accountant. Through my early 30s, I was very fit. But as I neared my 40's, my metabolism started changing. A very busy lifestyle, long hours at a computer and ACL replacement surgery (soccer injury) led me to pack on an additional 40 lbs over the next four years. My husband and I purchased P90X, which then sat in the box for over a year. Finally, I reached the point that I was so disgusted with myself and how I felt that I was ready to make the time to do something about it. After seeing an Insanity infomercial on TV, I was excited. I could do this at home without bands, balls or weights!
Now, one year later and 39 lbs and many inches smaller, I'm actually helping many others as a Star Diamond Coach and through my Ft. Worth Fit Club, which is will be a year old in June!

After 60 days of Insanity, I've lost 20 lbs, 3 sizes and my blood pressure is normal with no meds. Week of Oct 19 is a rest week, then on to P90X! 11/9/09: I'm about to finish my second week of P90X Lean Version and I've lost another 8 pounds! 12/7/09: I'm starting week 7! I'm up to 31 lbs of total weight loss. The weight loss has slowed down, but the slimming of the midsection has not! I'm gaining muscle definition (but not huge amounts of bulk) all over my body, which is adding weight, so it all evens out! I'm thrilled with my progress! 2/14: Started RevAbs w/P90X Strength workouts 3x/wk. I've lost a total of 34 lbs and went from size 14 to size 6/8 since starting Beachbody workouts!!! 8/16/10: My how time flies! Since I last posted, I've done BBL, and TurboKick on a regular basis, while mixing it up each week with other BB workouts (mainly One on Ones) as I prepare for each weeks Fit Club! I'm maintaining my weight but continuing to see improvement in muscle definition and strength.

09/26/11 It's official. Today is Day 1 of a new round of P90X.
