Atlanta, GA I'm a 38 year old gay male living in Atlanta. Former college cheerleader in my undergrad days, former competitive bodybuilder in my grad school days, and former adult film model who has lost his shape in recent years thanks to working a desk job in the corporate world and dealing with a recurring low back issue. I am finally tired of not being able to wear a speedo to the beach in the summer and I'm a 38 year old gay male living in Atlanta. Former college cheerleader in my undergrad days, former competitive bodybuilder in my grad school days, and former adult film model who has lost his shape in recent years thanks to working a desk job in the corporate world and dealing with a recurring low back issue. I am finally tired of not being able to wear a speedo to the beach in the summer and am determined to regain my old form.
I have decided to give P90X a try in an attempt to shake things up because I have found my gym workouts getting increasingly stale and I have lacked the motivation to go on a regular basis lately. I was friends with a former BeachBody coach, the late Dick Comanzo, and I saw how much BeachBody worked for him so I knew that this wasn't a scam. I'm excited to get started and turn the page in my health and fitness.
I was always very athletic growing up, playing baseball and tennis, doing gymnastics and dance. I never had trouble staying in shape and that carried all the way through college where I was a cheerleader and into grad school when I finally had the opportunity to try competitive bodybuilding. I proceeded to get into the best shape of my life and win a couple of shows my first time out of the gate. But after that, I always felt like I was just going through the motions in the gym. The only other time I got serious about my fitness and my body was as I prepared for my first porn magazine photoshoot in 2001. Since then, and since getting out of the porn industry, I have worked a corporate job that finds me sitting in front of a computer all day long. Couple that with a recurring back issue exacerbated by my declining fitness level and you can see how I went from a bodybuilding titleholder to the average schmuck I have become.
But all of that is about to change! I have found a renewed enthusiasm and excitement for working out. My best friend relies on me to lead us through our workouts in the gym but it was getting harder and harder. I have no qualms with handing over the reins to Tony for a little while and be the one being led through the workouts. I have talked my best friend into joining me on this P90X adventure as a departure from the humdrum of the gym and, hopefully, a new phase of development for both of us. And I've got that speedo on the wall waiting to be worn again this summer! BRING IT!!

Having been an athlete most of my life, playing everything from football and baseball to track and tennis, and even being a competitive bodybuilder in grad school and a cheerleader in college, I always thought I had a good idea of what hard exercise was. Recent years have found me dealing with a recurring back issue that, coupled with a deskjob in the corporate world, has caused me to balloon up to my current weight of 230, a full 50 pounds heavier than the 180 I carried throughout high school and college. At my heaviest, I have been 245. My knees and back have definitely not been happy for the longest time and it was finally time for me to do something about it instead of lamenting my condition. A friend of mine, the late Dick Comanzo, was a former BeachBody model and coach and, knowing the success he had with the program, convinced me to take the plunge. Mentally, I know I have what it takes to succeed with the program. I'm determined to regain my former physique and continue to improve on it. My journey has just begun!
