Having worked with some of the top fitness establishments and a leading weight loss center in the US, she has had the pleasure of being exposed to a number of fitness perspectives.

Having worked with some of the top fitness establishments and a leading weight loss center in the US, she has had the pleasure of being exposed to a number of fitness perspectives.
Striving to learn something from everyone she meets, she brings to her practice a medley of experience and viewpoints. After many years of being in the fitness industry, yoga found its way into her life. It is here that she finds her center blending both mind and body and the love for a yogic lifestyle.
Determined to share the endless benefits of Yoga, Michelle founded Salutations Yoga, where she offers personal yoga and pilates instruction, fitness coaching, and dietary consultation. Her vision is to help others culminate a healthy relationship with their bodies.
Michelle has recently began her relationship with Yoga Aid, and finds it to be an exemplary opportunity to give back, while she teaches and learns from others.

I grew up in a household where thin was synonymous with pretty...not thin? not pretty. Not such a good way to develop a healthy relationship with food. Lucky for me, I landed a job at a leading weight More ...
I grew up in a household where thin was synonymous with pretty...not thin? not pretty. Not such a good way to develop a healthy relationship with food. Lucky for me, I landed a job at a leading weight loss center as a young adult. I could see where my relationship with food was all off. I adopted the age old "everything in moderation" and found that I could eat most of what I wanted, and enjoy my meals. Food is meant to be eaten, and the body is meant to be fed. My days of slimfast were behind me. Now, when I go to a restaurant, I order whatever I want; but on a day to day basis, I eat sensibly. After a bout with a back injury, and subsequent weight gain, I found myself drawn to trendy diets and panicked to return to my thin self. In the end, I'm back to eating in moderation, enjoying my food, and well, I gave up the Vinte Mocha Fraps at Starbucks. I'm back to feeling good about my body again.
