I am a 38 year old dental assistant who was tired of having an unfit body and being tired all the time and looking at my 180lb 5"2" frame in the mirror. I am a mother of a 11 year old daughter and have been a single mother up until July 2007. This is when I marred my husband, who happened to be a good friend for twenty five years. I am a mother of a 11 year old daughter and have been a single mother up until July 2007. This is when I marred my husband, who happened to be a good friend for twenty five years. He has always stood by me in all my health issues and when I decided that before our wedding I wanted to loose weight he was my cheering section along with my daughter. I stated eating better and power walking 5 times a week. Before my wedding I lost 20lbs! I was excited. But then I platued for five months and felt discourged. My doctor then refered me to a nutritionist as I was diagnost with IIH (Ideopathic intercaranial hypertention) Which means I have a pressure in my brain that is normally caused by a tumor but I do not have one. I just have an abnormal pressure that puts a great amount on my optic nerve, gone untreated I would be blind in a couple of years. The only thing they can link this condition to is an abnormal weight gain. I am told that if I loose the weight the condition will go away. Otherwise I have to take medication to decrease the pressure in my brain for the rest of my life. I have since started seeing a nutritionist and have lost 5lbs in one month. I now need to get a workout program into my new life to help me further that goal of loosing weight. Changed my eating habits by going to a nutritionist and lost 2lbs in the first two weeks! I now want to get a workout plan started along with the new eating habits. Now that my arm is finally on the mend from surgery and I can handle harder workouts. I just want to get healthy and learn how to stay that way. In April of 2008 I came across Turbo Jam and decided to try it out! After I received it in the mail I started the program right away.. Working out with Turbo Jam five times a week, eating healthy and I started looking healthy!! Since starting Turbo Jam (April,2008) I have lost 10lbs (April to June 8) and continue to look great! The transformation from eating healthy food and getting into a workout routine was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. The DVD's keep you motivated and I look forward to doing them everyday!
Health wise, my condition has gotten better. I have had a decrease in my medication and I am hoping by September I will not longer need medication for the pressure in my brain. I am sure that with this continued lifestyle I will be healthy, much happier, and have my life back under my control! (June 15,2008) It is now almost the end of September and my condition is the same but I have lost another 5lbs..The weight is coming off slowly but I am happy with that as I know I will be able to keep it off! I am hoping by November I will have lost more weight as I have surgery on my arm again. (Sept.27, 2008

My nick name is Sam, and I am 38 year old dental assistant. My husband helped me make the decision to try Turbo jam to help me loose weight. I am also a mother of a 11 year old daughter. I was always battling my weight when I was young until I joined a volleyball team, baseball team and did recreational rock climbing. I was in great shape until my shoulder gave out 4 years ago and was told to stop all sports and rest the shoulder. I also started a new carreer in the dental field. No sports and working 10 to 14 hour days, not eating right and tired all the time made for bad choices. I went from being very active to not at all and from a 135lb 5'2" frame to 180lbs! Being a single mom and working 10-14 hour days to bring in good money to support my child. Also In those four years I had someone in the family die every year. The ones that devastated me most were my grandparents. I had a hard time getting over their deaths. They were my second set of parents, as I had lived with them for four years before my daughter was born. I felt like my cheering section and the ones I went to for advice were now gone and I had to make all my decision on my own. I think losing them made me depressed and I made bad choices in my eating habits. In Jan.2006 I also had surgery on my shoulder to repair my rotator cuff. Now home bound and one good arm what to do? My boyfriend then proposed Jan. 2007 and I had less than six months to loose some of that weight?!? By our wedding in July I lost 20lbs with a good diet and power walking. But after that I platued for 5 months. I must also tell you that I have to loose weight not only for me but for my health. I was diagnost with IIH (Ideopathic intercaranial hypertention) Which means I have a pressure in my brain that is normally caused by a tumor but I do not have one. I just have an abnormal pressure that puts a great amount on my optic nerve, gone untreated I would be blind in a couple of years. Otherwise I have to take medication to decrease the pressure in my brain for the rest of my life. I have since started seeing a nutritionist and have lost 5lbs in one month. I now need to get a workout program into my new life to help me further that goal of loosing weight. My goal is to get back to that 135lbs of healthiness that I once had.
My husband and I decided that me staying home and taking care of myself and my health was more important than me working a 10-14 hour a day job. Now being a wife and stay home mom, gives me the oppertunity to concentrate on my health and workout schedule. Also having the two most important people in my life to support me and cheer me on I think I will accomplish my goal! Well, since this all started I have gone from 180lbs - 5'2" to 147lbs! Beach body has given me my life back that I deffinately craved. With the encouragement of my husband, daughter, family and friends I am now refured as skinny minny! I am still a work in progress.
