Post Falls, ID I have to admit in the past when seeing home video workout infomercials or others talking about them, I had always told myself (and others) I would never do that...however, the times are a changin, as they say, at least in my mind set. I just turned 40 recently, so maybe it's a mid-life crisis thing...but overall my health is important to me, but as the years of passed it slowly is getting to I have to admit in the past when seeing home video workout infomercials or others talking about them, I had always told myself (and others) I would never do that...however, the times are a changin, as they say, at least in my mind set. I just turned 40 recently, so maybe it's a mid-life crisis thing...but overall my health is important to me, but as the years of passed it slowly is getting to the point that I need to do something about it. I have always thought of myself as a pretty healthy person. In my high school and college days I participated in numerous sports and was always in pretty good shape. As time has passed over the years, it slowly has gotten pretty bad. On a positive note, I have recently started running again...that has been good for my overall psyche in knowing that I can get back to better health and fitness. The problem I have is that in the warm summer months, I am pretty active, not the best I could do, mind you...but better than nothing. However, once those cooler months start hitting, all the progress I made earlier goes out the window. So, I go through this yo-yo effect, which I am sure many of you can relate to. Which brings me back to the videos...I think this will be good for me to keep more active in the winter months and doing it at home I think will be better for me since I don't really like going to gyms. Okay...I am on the border line of my health starting to effect my in a negative way and am realizing that I HAVE to and MUST do something about it. So, even though my overall goal is to get healthy, I plan on losing weight, build muscle, tone up, increase my energy & lower my cholesterol along the way. It will no doubt be a difficult journey, as I have learned some bad habits over my 40 years with diet & less exercise with each passing year. But I have no doubt in my convictions and I WILL succeed in being a more healthy person - my life depends on it. To be continued...
