Hello. I am 52 and have been blessed with and awesome family. We live in the
beautiful mountains of Colorado and can find endless outdoor activities and
fun things to do. All of which means fit, fit, fit...which I am not, not, not.
My twelve and eleven year old daughters are active in church clubs, sports,
school plays, skiing, 4-H and love the outdoors. We live in the playground of
the Rocky Mountains. Growing up I was as my daughters are active
in all sports and outdoor activities. I always believed I would be a fit and
active parent challenging and helping my children in sports growth and
showing them how to be fit. I gained the dreaded freshman 20lbs in
college and managed my fitness by enrolling in PE classes. When I was working at
an office job in my adult life and began adding weight, I joined a club and
started working out. Even after having my daughters, I was able to get back
in shape. So I can't even blame it on my pregnancies. As time went by, I
found less and less time for exercise and my eating habits changed. Soon, I
was several chapters into a new book in my life and it wasn't so pretty. I
some how went from fit, slim and healthy to unfit, obese and unhealthy. I hit
a weight that was more than when I was 9 months pregnant. Trying to keep up with my daughters is more than a
challenge. I need the old me or rather a new me that is fit and healthy for my
husband, my girls, me and my life. I want this temple that God has given me,
worthy of the Spirit it houses. I love the active life style and being my best...
that's where I am headed. New chapters...
