As a child, I always struggled with weight loss. I was the typical chubby child trying to fit in, but constantly being laughed at by my peers. I was however, an active child; participating in dance, More ...
As a child, I always struggled with weight loss. I was the typical chubby child trying to fit in, but constantly being laughed at by my peers. I was however, an active child; participating in dance, gymnastics and baton twirling. During my middle school years, I hit a growth spurt and began losing some weight. This was also the same time that I started competitive baton twirling. I noticed a difference in the way my peers looked at me and I like it! From that point on, I knew not only was it important to keep the weight off, but it became apparent to me that my self esteem was affected.
I was able to keep my weight off by competing throughout the state, country and world in baton twirling and went to college on a scholarship for twirling as well. In college, I began running and taking group exercise classes. I was constantly looking for ways to stay motivated. I also started teaching group exercise and personal training while in college.
After college it once again became more of a struggle to stay motivated. I got married to a wonderful man and we moved to Nashville. I taught group exercise classes in our new home town. A few years later, I was pregnant with our first daughter. We now have 2 beautiful girls (2 years and 3 months) and more than ever, I need to make my free time count! Beachbody is a great way to either jumpstart your health and fitness routine or to change up your current workout routine.
I am excited about this journey with Beachbody and hope to help each of you reach your own personal goals. Let's get started!
