I am a wife and stay-at-home mom to our 2 year old son, Max. We are also awaiting the birth of our second son in early 2010. Prior to being home with Max, I was a special education teacher, teaching high school students with learning disabilities and autism. **Update 11/09: I am about 5 months pregnant and have given in to lots of my carb cravings as well as being less consistent with my workouts. I will have plenty of work to do after having this little baby!! My goal now is to get back into to doing strength training 3 days a week to help me through labor and get some of my muscle tone back. I find that due to some pregnancy hormones that I have to be more careful and not lift as much weight.**

To sum up my story in three words: It's a journey.

I started using Beachbody products in early 2005 to get in shape for my wedding. I first purchased Slim in Six, then moved on to Slim Series. I loved how the programs came with eating plans and an internet accountability component. I spent time gaining inspiration from the people on the message boards and making sure I got up at 5 a.m. 5 days a week by using WOWY. I even worked out on Saturdays! WOWY & the message boards are THE reasons I was able to remain so consistent for 2 years. Having fun workouts that were able to be mixed and matched went hand in hand with the accountability and inspiration. When Turbo Jam came out, I was hooked and became a "Turbo Addict". The workouts made me sweat buckets and Chalene had a very genuine and positive personality that kept me coming back every day. I was in the best shape of my life! Once my son was born in August 2007, I fell off the fitness bandwagon and spent months just enjoying cuddling him. Once I decided to start working out again, I tried some workouts from companies other than Beachbody. I immediately began to remember why I loved Beachbody so much - fun workouts with fun instructors, something for everyone and accountability. That's why I decided to become a coach - I knew that if I loved these products so much, I should share them with those I love and care about.
At this point in my journey, I am almost back at square one, wanting to lose about 20 lbs. From past experience, I KNOW I will get there as long as I "Push Play" and eat well. Update: 5/5/09 - Day 2, Round 2 of ChaLEAN: I finished my first round of ChaLEAN few weeks ago and lost 21.3 lbs and 8.1% body fat! I was extremely diligent in following the food plan the first 4 weeks, then I still followed the calorie guidelines, but wasn't as diligent with the actual food in the recipe book. My personal feeling is I could have lost even more body fat if I had followed the eating plan to a "T". However, I am thrilled with my results and love the program so much I have started a 2nd round after taking a few weeks to mix up my workouts a bit and try some new things.
