I was blessed with a terrific body that I love. The only problem has been my failure to take care of it. I have become a pretty fat guy. I weighed 230 lbs at the start of this and I weighed 185 in High school and 190 in college, and I was ripped. I am feeling good at the beginning of week three. Physical measurements aren't stellar, but I am bringing it. My Hip measurement is making the fastest change in two weeks, and I am not seeing biggest loser weight loss but my arms and chest are fuller without being too big. Flexibility is much better, so yeah, I will keep bringing it. Looks like Cardio steps up in Phase 2 so that should help weight loss.
10/6/2009 Finished with week one and following the meal plan. I really like P90X because unlike running and lifting weights, which I tried on and off for years to lose weight, I no longer think, when I am running, if I don't change this song on my ipod I cant take another step. It is not some huge battle of will against the boredom of running, P90X keeps me engaged and thinking the whole time. It really is revolutionary in that regard. I am on day seven which is a stretch day. I will post my numbers below, regardless of how they turn out, I am not so worried about numbers at this time because I feel great and can feel changes in my posture and gait. Wahoo.
