I've been married to my wonderful wife for ten years, and we have an amazing 5 year-old son and a retired racing Greyhound. I'm a criminal prosecutor, handling cases from shoplifting to murder, and everything in between. I have a great job, but the best part of it is that I have a regular Hi! I have a great job, but the best part of it is that I have a regular schedule, which lets me spend a lot of time with my family.
Growing up, I was one of those kids who could eat as much of anything that I wanted, and never put on an ounce of weight. Even into my 20s, nutrition didn't matter. I was 6'2", and about 160lbs.
That changed when I hit my late 20s. Suddenly, my body was reacting to what I put into it. For example, I remember making Kraft Dinner, pouring syrup over it and eating the entire thing, right out of the pot, while watching tv, and then taking a nap. In the space of about 5 years, I went from 160 to 215. The one thing I'll always remember about being that heavy is lying on my side in bed, and feeling my belly slump towards the mattress. That was something I never want to feel again.
So, my girlfriend (now my wife) and I went on the Zone diet. In about a year, I was down 40lbs. While I lost a lot of weight, when I look back at pictures of myself from then I see that I also lost muscle. At 173lbs, I looked painfully skinny and unhealthy.
After losing the weight, it slowly started to creep back as I relaxed my nutrition. I mentioned to my wife that I was tired of sitting on the couch every night, and wanted to do something active. We joined the local YMCA and started exercising. That was about six years ago. I've completed two rounds of P90X, one of P90X+, Insanity, Asylum and P90X2. These programs have made a huge difference. I'm stronger and fitter than ever. I'm about 177 lbs, and my bodyfat, according to the scale, is 10%, while according to the fat calipers, it's 5.6%. The results I felt during the workouts and can now see in the mirror have charged me up to make fitness a lifetime commitment! THANK YOU BEACHBODY!!

It's been just over a year since I started my first round of P90X. The results have been absolutely startling. While I was never "fat", the person I now see in the mirror is a far cry from what I was in years past. The abs are nice, but what really matters is the change I've made on the inside. Fitness is now a part of my life, and I try to educate those around me about making healthy choices (without sounding like the exercise police!). Probably the best result of my commitment to fitness is that my son is learning from my example. He does his own exercise, and mimics the yoga poses he sees me doing. He also understands "red light foods" and "green light foods". What a wonderful thing to teach your child. What a blessing Beachbody has been in my life!
I'm now almost through Insanity. I would NEVER have been able to do this workout a year ago. The sense of accomplishment I get from being able to perform at this level is enormous. The best part? It will only get better! My 40s are less than two years away, and I will be fitter than I was in my 30s. Not many people can say that, but I can thanks to these incredible programs.
