My hobbies and interests include working out in my home gym, reading, mostly non fiction, Business, Sales and Self development books, mostly. I subscribe to Success Magazine and read the Men's Health quartlery. I like to write, which I do not do as often as I would like! I love music and dabble with the Ukulele a little, although I am not that good! I enjoy being with my family, taking vacations and hangin' out around the house. I love people and and always see the potential that they have. We all need a little push sometimes in the right direction and that's why I am a BeachBody Coach! To give that little push of moitavation, that wisper in an ear the says "keep going! you can do it!" We all have struggles and we all should have goals to overcome them. In that sense, we are all the same. I want to help people make a difference in their lives and the people around them. It may take hard work to get their, but just think about what we become on the road along the way! We grow in every way possible and we find out what we are really made of....and we surprise ourselves at every turn!

I first discovered BeachBody at the release of P90X. I had been wanting to workout for a long time, I wanted to be in better shape, but like so many other people, the thought would leave as quick as it would come. Then one day my wife called me into the living room, "Shane, you have got to see this..." she exclaimed! What I saw when I entered the room was this clean cut, chiseled dark haired guy bustin' out pull ups, push ups, and lifting an insane amount of weights!! Little did I know, I would be working out with this guys every single day in the very near Future. Tony Horton was that man and he changed the way I looked at my life, my fitness goals, and my eating habits. See, P90X was the complete package, one like, up to that point, I had not seen before. 90 days! It was a program that grew as you grew. It was perfect, and I was in. I did the 90 days and felt great. Wow! a P90X gradutate! Yes!! Not long after that, I noticed a lump in my neck just under my left jawbone. Hearing the words "you have Cancer" is something only another person who has it or survived it could understand! It was the worst day of my life. Eventually I would go through six weeks of intense radiation treatment that would not only take away my sense of taste but would taint it so horribly that everything tasted like plaster, it was awful! There were other side effects to the treatment, including going from 155 lbs at the time of diagnosis to 110 lbs the last day of treatment. All my muscle mass was gone. I was a skeleton in skin. While all this was tough to go through, it saved my life! After a few weeks of recovering from the radiation I decided it was time to get back, or try to get back, to some normalcy! A second round of P90X was a big part of that plan. Day 1 came, Chest and Back, push and pull to the max and guess what? I could not even do one push up or pull up! But i was determined to succeed! I got through those 90 days again and was dong 18 pull ups on average and 40 - 50 push ups. I felt amazing and they weight was slowly coming back on. By this time I was fiending for another BaechBody workout! This is when we discovered a new full body workout being put out by none other than Shaun T (Hip Hop Abs) called Insanity!! They were dubbing this "the hardest workout ever put on DVD.." I was all over it and when it finally arrived, I fully engulfed myself wih everythng "insanity". Unlike my P90X workouts, I decided to take my Insanity workouts public, via YouTube. During this time I was met with huge encouragement from other Insanity fanatics as well as BeachBody Coaches going through the program as well. There was a huge network of BeachBody lovers out there and I was thrilled to not only have discovered it, but to be apart of it as well. It is those relationships that were built through those 60 days of Insanity,(which by the way, IS the hardest workout ever put on DVD)and the passion I have developed along the way that has lead me to the desire to help others. Those with the same passion or those who seek help developing their own. As a BeachBody Coach, I want to encourage others to be the best they can be. Not only in fitness but in all areas of their lives!
