A couple years ago I completed a short course triathlon and I've committed again to another on June 25th this year. My friend Sara is new to fitness and she asked me to commit to this race with her. We're keeping each other accountable and though we live over 350 miles apart, we use fitday.com to track each other's progress.

They say it takes 21 days to make a habit and I've made it to day 32 (as of 4/3/11) I absolutely know there's no turning back now. I'm on P90X and pumped to complete it. I've purchased Insanity to follow up afterward and I'm excited for the next challenge.
My friend Sara is doing P90X as well after seeing my progress, and my coworker is having AMAZING results which inspired me to get serious with this program again. He is 60 days ahead of me and the change is incredible. He just completed his first round, and wow!
A huge change is the way my husband and I are eating. I'm using MasterCook 11 to pre-plan a week of meals, then buy groceries once a week accordingly. What a huge difference it makes to have limited portions and consistent meals without waiting until hunger desperation mode before scavenging for food after a long day at work!
The best advice I keep coming back to is this: When you are discouraged by a weight loss rut/plateau, just pick up a dumbell corresponding to the weight that you've lost. That used to be on your gut!

I've completed a couple rounds of Power 90, one round of Slim in Six, and had a go at about 3 weeks of P90X in the past. Then, my husband was diagnosed with cancer (now in remission), my grandfather died, and we closed on a house -- all within a month. Needless to say, my workout schedule was thrown for a loop and sadly I got off track.
I've kept working out in the meantime. I like to run, but because I live in the frozen tundra I purchased an eliptical machine to use during the 6 months/yr it's too icy to run. I really enjoy it!
I'm committed to completing P90X and I'm as far along as I was last time when chaos broke loose in my life. I can't wait to start Insanity after this.
The best shape of my life was 3 years ago, when I was between jobs and could spend time planning meals and exercising. I know I can get back to that point (Power 90 helped get me there in the first place) but it's going to take more work, as my time is much more limited. (That's the challenge of being a wage slave!! :)
As far as BeachBody products, I've used Power 90, Slim in 6, and P90X. Thanks for the real results! NO GIMMICKS -- JUST OLD FASHIONED HARD (FUN) WORK!
