About 3 1/2 months after the birth of our third child (all under 4 years of age at the time) my wife wanted to start working out and we thought we'd try P90X (beginning May 2011). Having finished P90X (by the grace of God!), about nine months later (having been in "maintenance mode" in the meantime - through early March 2012 I had been doing three days a week of P90X, with the goal of keeping/continuing to build muscle and staying toned) we then - again by God's grace - completed P90X2 the first week of June 2012. Now, a little more than six months later, we have finished Insanity (Oct. 15-Dec. 16), by far the hardest two months of exercise I've ever done. We're both planning on continuing a "maintenance"-type exercise routine, with my wife continuing to largely do Insanity routines, while I'll intermingle P90X, P90X2, and Insanity workouts. While I wasn't necessarily in bad shape prior to starting P90X, looking back I realize how far I've come, presently being in possibly the best shape of my life. We're excited to see what the Lord can help us accomplish moving forward!
