I was never considered overweight, but my clothes were getting a little tighter, and I was above 150 sometimes. I knew how to hide it well by the way I dressed! I have been plagued with injuries-- I was at my heaviest weight when I fell and badly dislocated my shoulder in Nov. 2008. I decided when I got the use of my arm back, I was going to get in shape for good, and I have! Unfortunately, I worked out so hard in 2009 that I tore my hip labrum, and was in extreme pain during my entire first round of Insanity. I pushed through, and did it up until the day before my surgery on October 16, 2009. I was in the best shape ever! I had to take a few weeks off, but started physical therapy just days after the surgery. They were very impressed to see me jogging pretty fast on the treadmill within a couple weeks of being off crutches. I started P90X 2 months after surgery and completed it.
I was still in pain, but much better than before the surgery, and I continue to improve. I was so excited for the release of Turbo Fire, and I'm continuing to do that now!
I'm maintaining my progress, and mainly have to focus on eating well to keep myself healthy. I have an addiction to processed foods and sugar, but I look at the amazing changes I have made from where I was before, so I don't get discouraged!
I started with Power 90 in January of 2002, and have continued with Slim in 6 and then Turbo Jam, followed by Hip Hop Abs. I always have good success, and then start eating bad and not working out. I'm not stopping this time, I'm going to be in shape forever!

Update-- June, 2011 I just trained and dieted for my first bikini competition! It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I had awesome results! I was down to 116 pounds, and my body was feeling tight and toned. I competed against girls half my age, since it was only divided by height classes and not age. I didn't place, but I was very proud of myself for finishing my journey! I have learned so much about diet and nutrition, and I am passionate about helping others!
Since December 18, 2008, I have lost almost 30 pounds! I didn't really know I had 20 pounds to lose. I've always been pretty slim, but every winter my jeans start getting tight again. Then in 2008, I fell and dislocated my shoulder very badly. That happened on November 6th, I was in a sling for 4 weeks, and then 4 months of physical therapy after that. As soon as I was out of the sling, I hadn't worked out in a while, but I started doing lower body emphasis workouts. I couldn't even raise my arms to stretch, do a wheel, or anything! I gradually worked through the extreme pain to build my strength, and was able to start doing pushups again! It was really scary at first, but my physical therapists were very impressed with my progress. I started Chalean Extreme about a month before I stopped therapy, and was able to do all the weight lifting without pain. I don't think I would have had such a good recovery and getting my strength back if I hadn't been working out on my own.
So I've worked through adversity and pain, and achieved the best results I've ever had with a Beachbody program!
