I'm a 25 year old Engineer-In-Training that was born and raised in northern Minnesota. I was active in various sports throughout highschool as well as club athletics at the University of Minnesota though never physically ripped as I had wanted to be. I have been in a committed relationship for over 4 years now and cannot wait to see where a healthier fitness lifestyle will take me.

In the summer of 2009, I was in a sportbike accident resulting in full shoulder surgery and 2 torn legaments in my left knee. Being that I was on crutches while in a sling, it didn't take long to see the weight start adding up as muscle faded away.
After recovering from everything, I graduated and was hired as the EIT I am now. In the summer of 2010 I was assigned to a project in North Dakota which left me living out of a Holiday Inn Express for 3.5 months having to rely on eating out nearly every meal while averaging 100 work hours a week. The money was great but it didn't take long to feel the negative effects of crapy food. When I retuned back to MN, I weighed almost 235 pounds with about 31% body fat according to various online calculators. As if those numbers aren't embarrassing enough for a 6 foot 23 year old, I also have an irregular heartbeat which made me very concerned about my overall health. I knew I had to start taking better care of myself. And so the process began...
