Update 4/3/10: Round TEAM CHANGE Contact info: lazysnowdog@yahoo.com.. also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lazysnowdog PLEASE NOTE: If you have been assigned to me as your coach, shoot me a message! I consider it an honor to be able to help others achieve their goals while achieving mine each day. CHANGE IS NOW!!! My name's Jason, here's my story, and i'm sticking to it.... Update 4/3/10: Round One of P90X is complete! This graduate has lost 38 pounds and 12-13% body fat. Update 5/2/10: Into week 3 of Insanity. Lost to date: 41 pounds, 14% body fat. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are ready for a CHANGE, and BRING IT!!! The year is 2008 and i'm finding myself to be in the biggest rut i've ever been in. Poor eating habits, a sedentary job, and an excuse list as long as my arm. It's amazing how poor self image negatively impacts you and how you feel about yourself. This is coming from a guy who not too long ago was playing hockey, either roller or ice, 5 times a week. I went from leading goal scorer to big guy in front of the net. Then, something clicked. I knew i'd have to "fix" things, and the "fixing" would have to come in phases. Phase one HAD to be quitting smoking. I knew that diet and excercise would not come easily until the lungs were free and clear of the tar and nicotine that i had become a slave to for over 10 years. On Ash Wednesday of 2009, i made the DECISION and the COMMITMENT to myself to SUCCEED in the beginning of my transformation of my life, and my attitude to quit smoking forever. I succeeded. Phase one complete. Now phase two: Like many of our new year resolutions, mine of 2010 included my newfound diet and exercise routine. P90x was introduced to me by a friend. I mulled it over, and decided that i would give it a try. I liked the thought that i'd be able to do most of this at home, and it was heavily weighted on a sensible conscious diet change as well. I also was at the point in my life where i felt i could do anything after quitting smoking, and changing yet another aspect of my life was what is in the cards at this time. I am finishing my first round of P90X. As of today (3/15/10), i'm officially down 13% body fat and 27 pounds. Listen, i'm just a normal schmo just like you. I've been to college and grad school (all science and medical based). I've made some decisions in my life that i'm regretting. Change IS possible...We are here to help. By helping you achieve your goals, i will be surpassing those that i've set for myself. Allow me to be your coach and guide you in the right direction. The year is 2008 and i'm finding myself to be in the biggest rut i've ever been in. A pack a day smoking, grossly overweight (6'3", 300#, 38% body fat), and a ton of nice high-carb imported beer DAILY to wash it down. My personal life is failing-A busy work schedule "forcing" me to eat horribly. Let's just say i "was" a mild case of depression. It's amazing how poor self image negatively impacts you and how you feel about yourself. Then, something clicked. I knew i'd have to "fix" things in phases. Phase one HAD to be quitting smoking. Oh, and i've been mostly alcohol free for the full 90 days (Valentine's day was the exception). Listen, i'm just a normal schmo just like you.
