Peoria, AZ Hi Everyone! 33 years old now, still happily married (12 years now), and I have a 11 year old son and an 9 year old daughter. I work a lot and like most people got comfortable with my life.

One of the more interesting things about me was that years ago I was a power lifter. I competed in tournaments throughout the country. I became good enough that I was invited to the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs to meet the coaches and train for a short period of time. I wasn't on the team, but a prospect for the future. Shortly after my experience with the Olympic coaches I was in a car accident and injured my wrist. It was bad enough that I couldn't lift 2x my body weight over my head anymore. In fact I could only life about 75% of my body weight and the doctors told me that if I didn't want to be a cripple later in life I needed to stop the heavy lifting.
After I stopped lifting my food intake was still very high. I figured I was eating more than 5,000 calories a day during my intense training. I didn't know about peaking so I trained hard all the time. Once I had to stop lifting, I continued eating the same diet. Unfortunately I wasn't burning those calories anymore. I had a physical job so I didn't notice it at first, but I steadily put on about 10 pounds a year until my weight capped at about 230.
I have trouble with some exercises because of my wrists. In fact I have a hard time working out period because the types of workouts I know how to do are heavy, heavy, heavy lifting. Working out at home didn't feel like working out to me, and I think running was the worst invention man ever created :) A lot of it is mental and I am trying to get over it.
Anyway I recently was at the doctor for a routine checkup and saw that they were doing body fat % tests. I had mine checked and it read 33%. I was floored.
I had seen the beach body commercials and when I got home I went online and ordered P90X.

I am currently down to the same weight I was in 1998! I am down to 201 pounds and I never thought it would be possible. My pants don't fit, my belts don't fit, and neither do any of my shorts, but it is a good thing. Last night I had a pair of jeans on with my belt at the tightest notch and pulled them straight off without unclasping them. It is a wonderful problem to have. It seems like I fall asleep faster and get better rest. I feel refreshed in the morning. I have more energy throughout the day. I am even saving money now that I cancelled my gym membership. I spent thousands of dollars over the years for less results than I have gotten in the past two months. I feel more motivated to do things instead of sit around the house. I am more motivated about life!
Let's see, my parents think I have dropped 5 years from my appearance. My mother-in-law is asking me to take my shirt off so she can take pictures out at the pool. My wife is telling everyone we know what I have been up to that is resulting in my noticeable weight loss. Co-workers are asking what I have been doing.
Not only am I transforming myself into living a healthy lifestyle, I am also a positive role model for my kids. They are eating healthier now too. My son was actually reading the ingredient list on a Fruit Rollup that he got as a snack after his football game today. He told me he didn't want to eat it because he couldn't pronounce any of the ingredients besides sugar. My son even asks if he can work out with me because it is fun.
My wife has quit smoking. My extended family tells me they are all fired up to begin working out. This really has been fantastic. I am a walking billboard that the people here at Million Dollar Body and all of the fantastic people on the message boards know what they are talking about.
Who would have thought that I could take my body back in time ten years with just 2 months of eating right and pushing play on the DVD player? It is not a stretch to think that I can get the body back that I had in high school, maybe even better!
I believe in the programs, the advice, the motivation, and the support here so much that I recently signed up as a coach. I always knew what I needed to do to get back in shape, but I never set it as a priority to do it. Once I got the results that I have, I am running around telling everyone what I am doing.
Health is one of the only things that every person on this planet has in common. We all want to be healthy. We all want to be more physically fit. We all want more energy. We all want a nicer figure. These things are the hardest easy things to do. Eat right, and exercise. It is what your body wants, but for some reason it seems difficult to do it.
I read my bio that I posted here before I started and it makes me chuckle. Working out at home never used to seem like a real workout, but boy was I wrong. I have never worked out so good in my life. I don't think I am working out hard, I think I have learned how to work out smart. That is saying a lot coming from a guy that had aspirations of competing in the Olympics. My wrists still give me troubles on some exercises, but I think the ligaments are stretching, my arms are getting stronger, and I have less and less pain the more I workout.
P90X has changed my life. I know it will continue and I am excited about it.
