My favorite things to do are playing softball, hiking, riding bikes, going to church, spending time with family and friends, trying out new things, and coming up with new ideas that will help an organization or my businesses. I love being able to help others achieve their goals, because if they achieve their goals, I will achieve mine. What a blessing it has been to be part of a group of people like the ones in the Million Dollar Body Club forums.
For several years now I have been looking for a way to lose the excess pounds. It has been a roller coaster for me, going from 236 pounds to 174 pounds back up to 256 pounds. Luckily my brother showed me P90X and I am glad he did.

Several years ago I began to lose weight. In fact, I lost over 50 pounds in 5 months in late 2003-2004. My starting weight at that point in time was 236 pounds. When I finished, I ended up at 174 pounds. Unfortunately, that didn't last. I got lazy and busy doing other things. I didn't keep up on my exercise or my weight loss and over the course of 3 years; I steadily rose to a weight of 256 pounds by October of 2007. I was in desperate need of finding something that would get me motivated to lose weight once again. The fact is, we often times give up on ourselves, like I did, after I lost over 50 pounds. We think once we lose the weight we don't have to worry about keeping it off, because in our minds we think that we will not gain the weight back. That was what I thought and I was wrong. You have to exercise on a regular basis and you have to get rid of all the junk that is in your life. I knew I had to find something that would motivate me; first it was my good friend Mike, who showed me a way to lose weight by eating a very high anti- oxidant dark chocolate. Then to supplement, my brother got me hooked on a program called P90X, a fitness program presented by Million Dollar Body and hosted by Tony Horton. In two months with this program I have lost 40 pounds. My weight is sitting around 216 pounds and I am still working on getting down below the 200 mark.
What I have found is that the first 2 phases of P90X have been a blast. I have really enjoyed doing this program. I never had a program where you did a bunch of different things and it made you sweat, breathe, and push hard every time you did a workout. Obviously P90X isn't for everyone, but I loved the intensity level and the challenge it offered. For me it was the competition with myself to see if I could take it to the limits and I did. What an awesome feeling it is to be able to bring it every time you turn on those videos(I thought workout videos, were hog wash and didn't really work) and workout to the best of your abilities that day knowing that you did something worthwhile that will change your life forever. Phase 3 is coming and I know I will do just as good. Like I told my friends in the Million Dollar Body Club forums—Round 1 of P90X is all about losing the excess fat, Round 2 is all about building muscle and definition. Even with round 1, it is hard to believe the strength I gained and the weight I have lost, totally awesome. I will keep you posted!
