He adds, “while auditioning for a film about cancer the casting director praised his talent but condemned his weight. Adolescence was hard for him; he ended up going into a three-year depression. During these hard times he received a wake-up call and felt he had to do something”. Since he couldn't afford to join a gym, he decided the only way to accomplish this goal is to be within. Right away he got a job in the fitness industry and studied as much as he could about fitness and personal training. Sam's desire to learn as much as he could about fitness proved to be fruitful. His background in martial arts helped him become disciplined and focused.
New York has been the home to Sam's fitness career for his whole life. In addition to teaching cycling, cardio tai box, urban rebounding, cable flex, power flex, Kwando, body sculpting, Pilates reformer and doing personal training all over the city, his packed fitness classes has developed into his own creation. Sam's belief is that anyone can reach their fitness goals if they want it bad enough. This is where becoming a personal trainer comes in; Sam realized that he can help educate more people if he did fitness coaching. He always wanted to help coach others into reaching their goals and continue to do so everyday.
Sam prides himself as a fitness coach, He aims to motivate and help as many people as he can to reach there goals. Sam's classes are about the people who walk through those doors,he teaches his classes the way he wants to be taught when he walks into a class. Sam is also quick to share his secrets for being one of New York's top fitness professionals…” fun” he says “I want to change people's perception of a workout and help them to see it's more about having fun with results” he also adds that it's something that was missing in the classes he took… “without fun there is no motivation.”
So there it is his secret to being one of the industries most sought after fitness professional. He possesses an impressive understanding of how the body works and has a dynamic easy-to-follow teaching style that appeals to participants of all levels. He is approachable, highly motivated and clearly dedicated to what he does. Last Sam's motto is “The only person you have to impress in life is yourself”.

Began by researching what it would take to reach my fitness goals and get the results I want. As someone who was uncomfortable in his own skin and didn't like the image I saw in the mirror, I set out on the quest for help to make the changes that became so in important to me and have held me down. The passion of that journey spawn the rebirth of what I would like to call “the real me”. My three years of depression took me to a place that I will never revisit again… and that was to end it, if it wasn't for that wake-up call I may not have been here.
My first entry into the fitness world was taking my very first indoor cycling class with Carly Simon’s son. That class got into my soul and launched the beginning of my transformation. I set out to learn, educate and train to teach a class similar to what I experience.
The training to teach started to transform my body and the more my body transformed, the more I wanted to learn. These are the keys I found, being consistent which gave me the drive, my trainer gave me the motivation and coaching, which to help me not only find myself, but become who I am today.
