I've always been the "heavy" friend, and I'm sick and tired of it! Gaining 20lbs during high school, then 15 during my first 3 years of college made me feel like huge puffy fat roll. Gaining 20lbs during high school, then 15 during my first 3 years of college made me feel like huge puffy fat roll. My self confidence was seriously hurting, but I tried to lie to myself about it. After getting off the scale when it got too closer to 180, I decided it had to change. I started working out more and gradually I got my weight down to about 170. I had learned about the Beachbody programs in high school, but I felt self conscious doing them in front of people, so I was only able to do them off and on, despite the great success I had with them. I was still 40lbs away from a healthy weight for a 5'3" tall person, but the scale wouldn't budge below 170. Then, that October, I learned about an opportunity to spend 5 weeks in Mexico, living on the beach and doing scuba diving and reef research. I resolved that I would not spend the summer feeling uncomfortable in a swimming suit, so I threw myself into working out again. It was slow, but I worked down to 165, and had to buy new clothes to take because mine were too big! I had a blast during the summer, and came back 5lbs lighter at 160lbs. Unfortunately, I vegged out most of the summer and put back those 5 pounds, leaving me at 165. I started working out again, making healthy eating choices, and drink my water, and slowly the weight came back off, and on January 31st, 2008 I weighed in at 159 pounds. I actually cried that day, because it was the lowest weight I'd been since my junior year in high school! I could kick myself now for it, but I got complacent, and bounced around at 160 until late March of 2008. March 26th my dog, a Pomeranian named Tater tot, died, and it devastated me. I was living alone at the time and between that and the end of school, I lost all motivation to workout. I got so sick for the next month or so the doctors thought I might have mono. Mono was negative, but I never recovered from it, and by August I was up to 168 pounds and had gained inches everywhere. I tried to start working out again, but lost momentum due to work and summer classes. I kept trying to start the program again, but never got it rolling. I stepped on the scale last month and it was back up to 178, and I vowed never again! I'm back on the program, and learning to roll with the punches!

I have many of the BB workout videos, and each program has its pros and cons. I've started and eventually stopped most of them, having the most success, and losing 20 pounds with Turbo Jam! Unfortunately I get bored easily, and gained back the weight after finishing up a round of TJ. I'm tired of being tired and overweight, and going to take the bull by the horns. I have lots of programs to workout with now, so time to get by butt in gear and lose it all!
