My Photos | tadpole4192 Long Beach, CA Hello. My name is Allan Lee. First let me just say, I would have never thought when I began working out with the programs of Beachbody that it would have opened up such a physical change. I was a skeptic. I thought always them but never me. Furthermore, I would never have planned to write about myself and share photos to complete strangers with an on-line website. To me it proves I Hello. To me it proves I obviously don’t have all the answers and I don’t always know what is best for me. I have to open up to change in whatever package it comes in. My hat (baseball cap) is off to Tony Horton creator of P90 products, my coach Joey, and the entire Beachbody community. I hope you find the same inspiration & motivation I found. You can truly have the physique and fit body you’ve always wanted and deserve. It takes perserverance and it takes hard work. But in the end, you start feeling better from the inside out. As of March 2009, I have completed a round of P90X and last year I lost over 25 lbs. completing P90. In September 2010, I finished another round of P90X and continue to workout and enjoy new programs like Turbo Fire and Rev Abs. I'm passionate about helping people. And fitness & nutrition has become a lifestyle to me. **BY THE WAY, AND BEFORE I FORGET TO MENTION...IF I AM ASSIGNED TO YOU AS A COACH PLEASE EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN HELP YOU. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. Thanks!** So here is my story: I was a chubby kid growing up. I don’t remember eating allot but just being a very inactive person. I had stretch marks at an early age. My sisters had a friend who gave me the nickname Stubber because my hands were so swollen and my fingers looked like little stubs. In elementary school I would dread the yearly Presidential Fitness Award program. I was one of the kids that could barely do anything. It was humiliating and embarrassing to me. This was the time period where life habits are formed and our outlook on life is shaped. Mine wasn’t being shaped very well. My dad was into body building and entered fitness contest in his early years. However, I was not interested in pursuing any type of physical fitness or sports. My parents divorced when I was 10 years old and our household went kind of Helter Skelter. I carried my chubbiness into adolescence. I went through a very rebellious period and was a teenager in the 1970’s and carried my indulgent attitude into my 20s. I believe I lost some weight because of the all the recreational partying I was doing which was most of the time. I would replace one addictive habit with another and eventually started spiraling out of control with alcohol. A Bloody Mary does not constitute as a healthy meal. I was never toned or had a body I could appreciate and somewhat had an inferiority complex. My blood pressure was unstable. The bulge was growing around my mid- section and at this time I was losing my hair and going through male pattern baldness. This was another big blow to my already suffering self esteem and self confidence. I became what I never wanted to be: fat & bald. And now old too! Fast forward...pretty much this was the picture of my life regarding the demons of my eating and addictive habits for many years. I understood the concept of emotional eating. I was familiar about triggers and using alcohol and food as a drug and replacing one addiction with another. I just did not feel good about my appearance. I am an avid bowler but was feeling the wear and tear on my joints because of the extra weight. It was challenging to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My physical condition and outlook was not very healthy. In steps Power90. My Progress My fitness goal: Transformation story

The P90 DVDs were unopened for several weeks as life events kept me in the procrastination mode. Prior to seeing the infomercial (June 2008) I had tried several other well known diet programs available. I did the low carb and high protein diet but it was a short lived program. More money and more guilt down the drain. You know how it is...there was always something going on, some type of responsibility or project and some excuse for not taking care of myself. I just felt sedentary and lacked energy. I would get these spurts of motivation and like to watch the weight lost reality shows. I would always say to myself “good for them” good for that fat man to get their life together. I would get a bit sentimental when they would pick a winner and share the testimonies. Once in awhile a tear would emerge from my eye. I would talk to myself and say you can do and you are not as fat as them. Within 24 hours it was business as usual and it was the emotional eating. It was the habitual act of hand to mouth; it was poor eating choices. Toward the end of May 2008 - - I was tired of the joint and bone aches throughout my body. I could not sleep on my side because my hips would hurt from the extra weight. I was tired of looking at myself and feeling pathetic about my stomach and other body features. I ran out of excuses for not opening the DVD box. I was sick and tired being sick and tired. I am the type of person that had to jump in 100% with the P90 program because I need the structure and discipline. I didn’t want to allow myself any wiggle room. Half measures, and a half attitude, would result in half results. I made this program the key priority in my life. I had to detail what I was eating and follow the material that was provided by the P90 program. I had stuck by the book and followed it as it was outlined. I tried on-line recipes and reached out for support in the on-line community. The guidebook said I would see results after so many days. More results later after so many days. And what do ya know, it happened. By following a rigorous schedule of my food intake and “pushing play” I saw dramatic results. I had lost 25 lbs at the completion of the 90 day program on August 30th. I saw and felt changes that were rewarding. It reinforced the positive aspects of eating healthy and working out. The things we all know to do but don’t do. I think there is this physical Renaissance occurring with the baby boomer generation. As a friend once told me, “if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself”. The party boy and fast food years of yester year are in the past. Mr. Horton and all the success stories of the Beachbody community has set the standard on how I want to maintain my health and physical shape. I have been so overwhelmed by the results thus far I wanted to pay it forward and this is the major reason I am writing this and laying it all out there. I am grateful for those who have shared their pictures and baring it all on the threads. How brave. It took me awhile but I had to humble myself and participate too. When you get on the other side of the “overweight” mountain it is life changing. I was able to climb to the top and reach my goal. I am in this for the long term and realize the importance of accountability. I utilize the tools and support of the Beachbody program. This is the real deal. I am forever grateful.
