I am a high school basketball coach who has just recently turned 50 years old. All my life, I have been very active, playing basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf, water skiing, boxing, you name the sport, I have probably done it.
A minor knee injury four years ago, set me back so far that I have not recovered since. My weight has ballooned to over 200 pounds, I no longer play any sports
My weight has ballooned to over 200 pounds, I no longer play any sports other than golf and hiking, and I feel retched.
I am embarassed when I am coaching my high school girl's basketball team, as I feel that a man in my physical condition should not be telling athletes how to perform at their highest level. When my team played for, (and won), the state championship a couple of years ago, the game was televised, and when watching a tape of the game, I felt totally embarassed for myself and my team.
Although I was ashamed of how I looked, I have done nothing to rectify the situation until now. I have not started P90X yet, as I am now getting my equipment ready, and some food stocked into the fridge. I should be ready to go by this Monday.
So that's my story, and I hope that you all can support me throught my endeavor, and I hope to support any and all of you. Thank you, and wish me luck!!
